14may10 ding dong
Very exciting at the top, now where were we, Jo stormed to the top on Tuesday and then followed up on Thursday with an 11/1 shot in the first race. So it looked all over but Pat responded banging in an 16-1 winner Thursday evening and following up Friday with a 7-1 shot to retake the lead!!
Another very notable winner was the 40-1 winner for Bert P that lifted him from near the botton to 4th, and in the cash
The full top 5 are
1. +38.45 54 bets Pat
2. +35.00 56 bets Jo
3. +16.82 56 bets Ricky P
4. +15.75 54 bets Bert P
5. +11.50 53 bets Dave F (Dormy)
Plate is also exciting Kevin has finished his tactical no betting, to allow the others to catch up, and that pretty much worked well as he is only 5 behind the leader with a bet in hand. The top 3 reads
1. 123 points 55 bets Justin
2. 121 points 55 bets Howard
3. 118 points 54 bets Kevin W
Vince takes over from today - not sure if he will keep the blog going

11may10 high drama
and not just at Westminster!
Jo H hit a 66-1 winner today (it fully counts as we are in the final 20 bets - new rule doesn't apply) and that, of course, rockets her from -42 and nearly bottom to + 25 and top clear by 7.18. Lucky Breeze was horse and it sure was only her 3rd winner great shot Jo.
4 other winners from 33 bets Tim, Lee, Gary D and Ian W.
In plate joint leaders now on 116 are Justin & Howard in that order on 2nd countbacks

10may10 big day
36 bets and a 2nd best total of the comp 7 winners. So a lot to report:
RICKY TAKES THE LEAD - so after Pat got his 33-1 shot on 6th April to lead ever since Ricky has finally clawed his way to the top with a small 13/8 winner today to go 1.37 ahead having had 4 more bets so pretty strong. Dave F also hit a decent 4/1 winner today to put himself right in the mix in 3rd only 95p behind Pat in 2nd (Dave is dormy so 6 fewer bets than Ricky). The other winners were short prices.
Also a very good day for Kevin W in the plate no bet again for him today as he waits for the field to catch up but both the two above him picked the same horse and it missed the frame at 15/8f.

09may10 cashed
Hi back from the shootout tourney on sunday 8th and in the cash $450 so not a wasted trip, final table was top 7. I missed that when I called a re-raise allin with my A7s against his K9s and he hit a K!! Shit happens but having said that I'm only a 57% favourite to win that.
Back to the comp 33 bets (inc. 9 dormy losses) only 3 winners. I had the best at only 7-2 with Justin at 4-9 and the most significant was Ricky who had a 3-1 winner to go to +16.57 only 88p behind the leader - Ricky has had 4 more bets so general convention is that means he is really ahead. Dave F continues to hold 3rd
Plate is equally tight top 3 have 115, 114, 113 that is Howard, Justin, & Kevin W respectively
Excel on it's way

08may10 single
33 bets and just one winner Dave F at 11-4 so that moves him into 3rd less than 6.00 behind the leader and only 1.08 off of 2nd place - good move Dave
Plate a 2nd for Howard takes him 1 point into the lead 3 bets in hand - looking good for him there and he's 4th in the main comp
Back to the touney for todays event another 12 hours play hopefully

Friday 36 bets 6 winners best one was Bert at 7-1 but he was well off the pace all the rest were < 2-1 so no major moves
Plate Kevin had a rest day but unfortunately the 2nd and 3rd both had winners so it reads:
Kevin W 113 - 53 bets
Howard 112 - 49 bets
Justin 109 - 50 bets

03may10 just 2 again
Another pathetic effort from us again just 2 winners from 28 at least one of them was a decent price 14-1 for Tim that rocketed him up to 9th only 3.13 from 5th place and cash. The only other winner was Gary P, (again that's 4 from the last 6), and he has now drawn level on 97 points with Justin in 3rd in the plate, 2 more bets than Justin though.
Two more people went dormy today John R and Mark D
Update excel will be sent later

ODDS RESTRICTION LIFTED
Just to confirm the rule introduced for this comp that no prices above 33-1 score is now removed as everyone has 20 or fewer bets to go. FYI - rule did not apply as no-one hit a large winner!
02may10 back from USA
sorry for the gap been travelling back. Well we have not missed anything in the 102 bets on Friday, Saturday & Sunday we have achieved between us only 5 winners and a completely blank day on saturday!! so as you can imagine no real movement in any of the lists. Leader Pat Q is drifing back slowly to the pack now only 4.50 ahead of Ricky P who sits 2nd and Dave F. a further 4.45 behind Ricky.
Plate Kevin W remains 1 point ahead of Howard in the plate but only on sufference I think as he has had 5 more bets than Howard
