Tim Catlin popped in a nice 8-1 winner to move 4th but Gary Pascoe claimed best of the day with a 10-1 winner to get off the mark and make the bottom of the leader board (but only because I extended it!). Other winners were Justin Sercombe 8-13, Ian Carpenter 9-2, Mark Sharman 11-4, and Tom Feeney 8-15.
Vince is away so Justin Sercombe's winner moved him 9 points clear with a game in hand in the plate

30mar15 OK that's enough
Lee (Comfy) Constable I mean, with another winner 12-1 today to go £16.76 ahead of the field that's 4 winners from the last 5 to gain £38+. There were another 9 winners Andy Slater 9-2, Carl Dean for a 4 timer at 7-4, Colin Warmington 6-1, Gary Dighton, Justin Sercombe, Terry Matthews and Tom Feeney all 4-7, Kevin Wood 4-5, and Stuart Bentham evens.
Justin Sercombe unraveled one of his games in hand and took over at the top of the plate by 4 points

29mar15 nice end to a sucessfull week
95 winners in the last 8 days from 295 selections which is a fine effort. Today 9 winners from 36 bets Carl Dean 13-8, Kevin Wood 15-8 and then 7 of us all with 11-4 winners (not the same horse) and for some of us thanks to an heroic ride from AP to get Un Ace home from an impossible position coming into the straight at Ascot. So the 7 were me, Vince Paige, Pat Quinn Jnr, Terry Matthews, Dave Kingsbury, Justin Sercombe, and getting off the mark Mark Quinn.
Worth a mention from Saturday was Tim Catlin's 12-1 winner and Jason McConkey's 12-1 winner of the Lincoln.
In the plate things are hotting up with the usual protagonists all banging in 10 point winners over in Ireland, Justin Sercombe still holds sway given his 3 games in hand, and Barry Pemble while off the leader board has 6 games in hand for 25 points.

27mar15 Four England and Harry!
Danny Beaman topped the pile today with a fine 8-1 winner to go onto the leader board in 8th, Dave Barker 7-2, Jay Lewis 3-1, Kevin Wood 5-2 were three of the other 11 winners worthy of a note.
26mar15 more winners
11 winners again today from just 33 bets, best of the day was Jon Curtis 8-1 to just scrape onto the foot of the leader board. Chris Pascoe, Jade Edgington, & Spenser Mills all picked up 13-8 winners. John Hall & Justin Sercombe both 11-8, Danny Beaman & Jimmy McGarrity both 7-2, me 8-11 and Keri Smoothy 15-8 with finally Dave Barker 11-4.
In the plate Justin Sercombe had a great day the only 10 point winner and most of his rivals missed out.

25mar15 Comfy forges on
Another nice winner to go £7.22 clear of the field after his 6-1 winner which was joint best of the day as Paul Stobbart picked the same winner. they were 2 among the 9 winners today that included Gary Dighton, John Hall, Terry Matthews & Richard Pascoe all at 2-1, Kevin Wood & Ian Carpenter 4-5 and to bring up a 4 timer Jay Lewis at 3-10.
A few changes at the foot of the plate leader board as Barry Pemble lost his 100% record and only scored 2 points, Carl's winning streak also ended with a 3rd as he came off of the odds on winner and suffered the consequences :-)

24mar15 The Big One
Lee "comfy" Constable hits the best winner so far 20-1 to zoom into the lead and Tom Feeney moves 7th with his 7-1 winner. Another mass of winners as loads of players all go for short priced winners another 14 in total Barry Pemble and Carl Dean both kept up the record with winners and the top 4 of the plate all selected the same horse that won.

23mar15 Another Hat Full
10 winners on a busy Monday Spenser Mills grabbed top spot again today with a 13-2 winner to go 2nd, Carl Dean kept up the good work bringing up a 7 timer and Barry Pemble is still 100% 5 from 5, not much else to report.
Sunday, 22 March 2015
22mar15 Loads of Winners
16 in fact from just 33 bets but wow some rubbish prices about 6 people picked the 1-10 shot presumably just for the 5 points. Best of the day was Tom Feeney at 6-1, Pat Quinn Jnr with a 5-1 winner moved 7th, Kev Roberts picked up a 100-30 winner to go to 33p up, Pat Quinn Snr also nabbed a 100-30 winner to sit just 17p down. Carl Dean deserves a mention as his winner brought up 6 timer and that's 6 from 7 but Barry Pemble is beating that still has a 100% win record after 4 bets.

21mar15 Unlucky England good try
6 winners today from 41 bets not a very good performance by the team in general but the exceptions were Roger Dore the reigning champion slotting in his first winner and the best of the day at 10-1 to go 3rd, Pat Quinn Snr 11-2 & Paul Mott 4-1, Mark Sharman 100-30, Danny Beaman 7-1, Andy Slater 9-4 all got off the mark but not enough to trouble the leader board.
In the plate no winners among the leaders a few 5 point seconds shuffled the minor places a bit

20mar15 First double figure priced winner
Terry Matthews stormed into 2nd place with a very nice 14-1 winner today. He was one of 11 winners including the leader 4-9, Dave Kingsbury 4-1, Kevin Wood, 9-2 and Tim Catlin 7-2 the ones of note.
No change in the plate most of the leaders picked up the 4-9 winner

19mar15 Two in a row
Spenser Mills tops the role of honour again today for the second day in a row with a 3-1 winner and Carl Dean brings up a 5 timer just 8-13 but nice piece of consolidation in second. The other 3 were 2-7 for Vince Paige, Justin Sercombe and your truly, i just needed to get off the mark.
The reigning plate champ moved into 2nd with that winner he just can't resist the lure of the points comp :-)

18mar15 nice ones
4 nice winners today best was Spenser Mills 8-1 to zoom him up to 2nd place overall, Annabelle Carpenter & Jimmy McGarrity both hit the same 9-2 winner that took Annabelle our youngest player onto the leader board and finally Carl Dean picked up a four timer and 4 from 5 in total with an 11-10 winner to go 3rd.
No change in the plate other than Carl Dean went 6th

17mar15 lots of winners
33 bets and 9 winners 2-1 was the best price so just a few to note leader Rod Brown extended his lead and brought up a 4 timer with his winner at evens. Justin Sercombe and Kevin Roberts both got off the mark with winners. That's all this late!

16mar15 Definitely after the lord mayor's show!
23 bets and 4 rather paltry winners Barry Pemble top the day with just 2-1, Ian Carpenter & Rod Brown 11-8 and Pat Quinn Jnr 13-8 was all there were.
Sorry Paul (Berg) but I can't let this go, so 6 bets so far 5 failed to finish and one plucky 10th place - could be the worst start ever :-)
52 paid players so far - those still to confirm are Darren Waite, Micky Quinn, Peter Webb, Ross Harvey, & Jed Parramore.

15mar15 Mother's Little Helper
23 bets and 8 winners today leader won again and picked up a nice little 2-1 shot, 4 people picked the 4-6 winner in the last they were Chris & Richard Pascoe, Barry Pemble, & John Hall. My daughter Jade Edgington got off the mark in her first comp with a 5-4 winner. Others were Stuart Bentham 4-11 & Roger Dore took the best of the award with a 5-1 winner to go 5th.
File going to Vince to construct the distribution list so expect that tomorrow

14mar15 A Bit Better

Rod Brown's two 10 point winners take him top of the plate.

12mar15 couple of 9-1 winners
Sorry for missing a day not quite got into the swing of it yet.
Thursday saw 2 nice winners Rod Brown picked The Package, and Paul Stobbart, Call the Cops both at 9-1 so they sit as joint leaders. Carl Dean, Jason McConkey, Vince Paige & Stuart Bentham all picked the extremely impressive Vautour at 6-4 and Ian Carpenter went "off piste" to get off the mark with a 1-4 shot
On course today so good luck to me :-) had been thinking the Silviniaco was my selection but the course just may not be his sort of track so switched to Road to Riches for a Irish win assuming he gets the trip of course hence 11-1.

10MAR15 AND WE'RE OFF
Slow start only 26 bets from what could be a large field of nearly 60 this comp. So far 49 paid out of the 56 registered and we are still waiting to here from some.
REMEMBER NO PAY NO PLAY
So just 3 winners John Hall with Druids at 8-1, Jay Lewis 2-1, and Terry Matthews 4-5 on the super impressive Faugheen - 4 of us went down with Annie as did the world and his wife on the big accumulator.
Still plenty of time to enter if you know anyone who would like to join you know the details and they are below if you don't

Sad News on our opening day
Very sad to report that Jed Parramore told me only this morning that Ken Jones a long standing Naps Comper died yesterday. He first joined us way back in January 2008 and pretty much played ever since, he often spent his time dreaming up spoof horse names as his nap names that meant the same as his real selection just to test me - he will be missed
Condolences to his family and those close to him and we will arrange a suitable donation of flowers from us all here.
