Listening to the leaders Question time!
13 winners today a record so can't list all them out but best of them was only 7-2 for Kevin Roberts. So as many of them were obviously all low priced no major changes anywhere. The plate saw Vince gain 5 points as he claimed a 10 pointer the other only 5.

29apr15 Oooooh!
25-1 winner for Richard Pascoe today to zoom him up to 5th on what was a pretty impressive day all round with 9 winners from 50 bets. Three of the 9 all picked the same 8-1 winner they were Pete Long, Mark Sharman & Jay Lewis. Gary Dighton kept up the good work bringing up a treble with an even money winner, Justin Sercombe 11-4, Vince Paige 9-4, Kevin Wood 7-2, & Barry Pemble 6-4 were the others.
Top 3 in the plate all scored 5 points and but for 2 non runners in Vince's race and a runaway at the post withdrawal in Justin's they would both have been 10, lucky escape for Barry!

27apr15 That's Better!
7 winners and some good ones! 3 people tied for top spot with 9-1 winners Michael Brook, Matt Harrison & Tommy Smith, Gary Dighton, Martin Long & Kevin Wood all managed a 9-4 winner, which was enough to get Kevin onto both leader boards. Leaving Spenser Mills with his 6-5 winner to continue his slow but sure task of reeling in Lee Constable.

26apr15 another easy one
Just two winners today (what a bad weekend for the comp 3 winners from 73 bets and the best one 11-4!). Back to today and that 11-4 winner which was for Dave Kingsbury the other one was Wayne Morton having got off the mark 5 bets ago is now 3 from 5 with today's 10-11 winner.

22apr15 only one mover
Ian Carpenter was about the only player to manage to move up on the leader board today as his 1-4 winner and the correction for the mess up by me yesterday took him 9th - sorry Ian. Overall today 7 winners best of the day was Pat Quinn Snr 17-2 enough to shoot him up to 17th place and only 67p down. So other than Ian the other 5 winners were Annabelle Carpenter 4-1, Annette Berg evens, Andy Slater 4-6, Keri Smoothy brought up a treble with a 4-6 winner and makes it onto the leader board for the first time and finally Wayne Morton got off the mark with a 7-2 winner.

21apr15 7up
7 from 35 today with best of the day for Pete Long at 7-2 closely followed by Gary Pascoe, Jay Lewis & Danny Beaman all at 3-1, that was sufficient to take Danny 4th. The girls made up the other three winners Jade Edgington 7-4, Keri Smoothy 15-8, and Annette Berg 10-11.

20apr15 Couple of Nice Ones
Two great winners today among the 7 successful players. Danny Beaman (to go 7th), & Roger Dore (to go 5th) both picked the same 14-1 winner. Barry Pemble at 4-5 was the only winner among the leaders in the plate most sat out. Ian Carpenter picked a 9-4 winner and Keri Smoothy moved close to break even with her 4-1 winner. Mark Sharman picked up his 3rd winner in 7 days with a 7-2 shot & Rod Brown did himself no harm with a 4-1 winner to move into 9th.

Just not for me it seems as I managed to get best of the day with a 9-2 winner and with just one other winner Tom Feeney at 6-5 that was it. Tom's winner took him 9th in a very tight foot of the leader board.

Just 2 winners today not one person on either leader board had a winner! The two that did were Dave Barker 3-1 to go just 37p down and 16th and Tom Feeney 7-2 to go +1.60 and 13th.
In the plate Vince picked a non runner so that made the day quite good for him as all around him lost!

17apr 15 nice winners
Topping the list was a very nice 14-1 winner for Kevin Roberts that moved him to 10th and the first cash paying spot closely followed by Tim Catlin with a 10-1 winner to rush him up to 2nd spot. Mark Sharman 7-1 to move him mid table Ian Carpenter 11-2 to move him to 65p up and 14th. Other winners were Matt Harrison and Dave Barker both 2-1, and Jimmy McGarrity 100-30.
All quiet in the plate as the odds on shot in Ireland failed so advantage Justin Sercombe again as he sat out.

15apr15 busy day
41 bets today with 8 winners only one worth taking about that was Pat Quinn Snr with a very nice 12-1 shot that moved him from a very lowly position to mid table. 4 players picked the same 4-5 winner at Limerick for 10 points at 4-5 and guess who they were! Yes Vince, Barry, Stuart, & Justin, Kevin wood & Martin Long picked up 9-10 winner so that just leaves Alan Mabb and his 3-1 shot

14apr15 Come on Chelters
All our rivals losing so a home win tonight essential if we are to save our league status
Back to the racing 7 winners today Lee Constable the leader broke for the safety of an odds on 8-15 winner for the first time but a fair play to sit at the top and consolidate. Mark Sharman & Dave Kingsbury both at 11-4 were joint best of the day, Martin Long 6-4, and 3 people, Justin Sercombe, Keri Smoothy & Stuart Bentham all picked an 11-8 winner. That unwound Justin's games in hand over Vince and the gap sits at 24 points.
Our first player risks going dormy tomorrow if Micky Quinn does have a bet and Gareth Chapman is only one bet behind him

Plenty of Winners
9 in total from only 24 bets Lee Constable with 6-1 took top spot and extended his lead at the top back up to where he started at the beginning of the week. Carl Dean, Mark Quinn & Roger Dore all had the same nice 4-1 winner, Barry Pemble & Justin Sercombe picked up 5 point 4-6 winners and Kevin Wood's 8-11 winner was the easiest of the day it was simply running in the wrong grade not sure why we all weren't on it! I picked up an 11-8 winner and possibly a colt that will pick up a classic this year in Zawraq and finally Spenser Mills slotted home an 11-4 winner in the last of the day.
Excel on its way - I have added the prize structure that we have come up with - slightly more than last time as we have 4 more players so we have extended the paying places down to 10th in the main comp and left the plate as was. First spot is still £1,000

10apr15 Delayed Friday
Usual Friday night excuse!
6 winners yesterday topped by Roger Dore 8-1 to move to 13th and +£2.00 Tom Feeney held on to 12th spot and the foot of the leader board with his 6-4 winner. The remaining 4 all had the same super impressive Don Cossack at 3-1, they were me, Kevin Dighton, Dave Barker, and Jason McConkey which was enough to move Jason up to 6th place.
All the main players in the plate sat out except Stuart & Carl who both missed but scored.
Plenty of today's naps already in and well done to those selecting in the national true to the spirit of the comp!

09apr15 very good day
Not for us all but for 8 lucky winners! Spenser Mills hit a nice 16-1 winner to move 2nd and starting to put Lee Constable under some pressure as Lee is 8 bets behind for a £7.90 lead. 3 managed to pick up Tagliatelle at 7-1 they were Tim Catlin, Pat Quinn Jnr (to move 9th) & Dave Barker. The remaining three were Ian Carpenter 1-4, Jay Lewis 3-1, & Justin Sercombe 5-2 a pretty brave bet in a 29 runner race but allowed him to capture the lead back from Vince in the plate

08apr15 correction
11-8 winner wasn't Danny Beaman it was Dave Barker - Sorry Dave got it right in the excel just not here on the blog!
08apr15 slow day
Only 4 winners from a very low day just 24 selections. Colin Warmington scrapped the best of the day award with his 3-1 winner, Tommy smith 5-2 Jade Edgington 5-4 and Danny Beaman 11-8 were the only other ones troubling the scorer.
In the plate 6 of the top 7 all sat out with just Terry Matthews playing and he missed - easy update
Tuesday, 7 April 2015
07apr15 ordinary day
Well except for the fact that everyone except for Terry Matthews in the plate all picked the same horse that finished 3rd for 2 points so well done Terry he nabbed and even money winner and gained a place. The other 4 winners today were Andy Vinall a new player who got off the mark with a 3-1 winner, Gary Dighton also evens, Ian Carpenter 4-7, leaving the best of the day slot for Kevin Roberts with a nice 13-2 winner.

In the plate Vince Paige moved back to the top by a single point as Justin's got withdrawn just before the off.

05apr15 Its All Over
2014/15 tax year that is :-)
Nothing so dramatic in the naps comp though except to say that all 5 of the leaders in the plate all picked the same long odds on shot at Fairyhouse and it fell! Those that did get winners, and there were only 5, were topped by Martin Long again, he brought up a treble with his 3-1 winner. The other 4 winners were Matt Harrison 15-8, Kevin Wood also 15-8, Kerry Smoothy 2-1, and finally Jay Lewis 4-9, that winner was Shaneshill at Fairyhouse a very nice animal that interesting to see if that stays hurdling next year.

And it was! Only 3 winners from 31 bets. Barry Pemble didn't let us down and popped in a 1-2, 5 pointer to move onto the Leader board in the plate. Alan (Big Al) Mabb brought up a double with joint best of the day 13-2 winner the same one as Martin Long who belatedly got off the mark.
