27nov16 unlucky Lewis
5 winners and the Paul Mott system pays again his best of the day 7-1 winner takes him into 5th spot, Barry Pemble, Justin Sercombe & Chris Pascoe all picked up 10 points with their Navan 1-3 winner so that just leaves Tom McGarrity at 5-1.

26nov16 last week
Just 6 winners today 4 of them the same price 7-2 and joint best of the day for Chris Pascoe to go 4th, Richard Pascoe enough to move onto the leader board, Rod Brown to go 3rd and Jake Fifield. The other two were Ben Cheetham 5-4 and me a plucky 1-8 - guess who!

25nov16 loads of winners
11 in total 11-1 for Tom Feeney was the best of the day enough to take him to the foot of the leader board Friday night not going through all the others!!

24nov16 Big Winner
Paul Mott picked up his 2nd big winner of the comp at 16-1 only his 5th winner but follows a 25-1 winner early on. A different way to do it but effective he now sits in the cash in 8th place. 7 other winners and 5 of them were the 2-9 winner at Thurles and 10 points for Robert Logan, Barry Pemble, Stuart Bentham, Justin Sercombe and me (had to stop the rot after 5 losers in a row, Gary Pascoe was starting to look menacing). The other 2 winners were Helen Fahey 7-2 really what might have been for Helen she has had 19 2nd places miles more than almost everyone else, and finally Rod Brown 6-5.

23nov16 slow day
Just 4 winners very slow - they were of significance however, Barry Pemble 4-11 and 5 points enough to unseat the long time leader at the top of the plate, Martin Long playing a canny game found an 8-11 winner to extend at the top again Richard Pascoe 11-10, and Kevin Roberts took best of the day with just a 7-4 winner.
22nov16 late again
9 winners 3 joint best of the day for Annette Berg, Rod Brown & Richard Pascoe all 11-4, Helen Fahey 9-4, Ian Carpenter 4-9, Kieron Badger 8-13, Michael Brook 9-4, Martin long the leader a nice even money consolidation bet, and finally Stuart Bentham 4-5 for 5 points.

21nov16 will we ever hear the last of it!
Guess who! i heard someone suggesting he was Britain's greatest ever sportsman - what!
Back to real sport :-) 7 winners for us best of the day was Gerry McCann & Stan Moore both 6-1, Chris Pascoe & Jason McConkey both had the same 9-2 winner, 11-8 winner for Jimmy McGarrity to move him into the cash in 9th, Barry Pemble recovered his mojo with an even money winner and clear 2nd in the plate. Gary Pascoe managed to keep in front of Chris with a 2-1 winner and closing in on me i managed to stop the rot myself today after a string of losers by sitting out!

NEXT COMP POSSIBLE DATES
We are thinking having a 5 week break across the Xmas and new year period and then starting on Sunday January 8th to finish Saturday 8th April 2017 - which is Grand National Day.
Not really thinking that Aintree would be our meeting up venue given the distance and crowds but only other conceivable meetings we could go to are Lingfield (AW) or Chepstow
Extra idea is that everyone's final bet has to be in the National!!
All to be discussed at the final day - Tingle Creek Day, Sandown 03dec16

20nov16 inside last 2 weeks
7 winners today Jimmy McGarrity with a 10-1 claimed best of the day and reclaimed a place of the leader board as a result. Ian Carpenter continued his great progress 6 from the past 7 with a 13-8 winner and a move up to 8th spot.
Justin Sercombe the defending champion in the plate showed why he is that by selecting a great 10 point winner in the same race as Stuart Bentham & Barry Pemble who could only both manage 3rd and with Robert Logan 4th in the same race as well that was a great result for Justin - he is only 3rd on number of winners count back 23 to Barry's 26
The other 4 winners were Gary Pascoe 4-9 a definite "must stop the rot" selection after recording 9 consecutive losers, Kevin Wood 2-5, Martin Long a nice tactical consolidation bet at the top with a 1-4 winner, and finally Rod Brown 9-4 to take back 3rd place from Carl Dean.

19nov16 Even less!
Just 3 winners on what didn't on the surface look like that tough a day Ian Carpenter moved into 10th with a nice 5-2 winner and gained 5 points on the field in the plate, Kieron Badger best of the day 4-1 & joining him with that honour was Mark Nutting also 4-1.
18nov16 not much action
The whole of the top 12 in the main comp had loser yesterday except Dave Brammer who has had all his bets so no changes this compares to 2nd through 5th in the plate all having winners to pull the long time leader back a little more he looks like he is only there on sufferance now and will be swamped soon but looks like he should still collect cash given he is 61 points ahead of Chris Pascoe with 8 bets more.
So 8 winners in total they were Barry Pemble, Stuart Bentham & Justin Sercombe all on the same 4-5 winner (they have all selected the same horse for Saturday as well!). Mark Sharman 9-2, Kieron Badger best of the day at 5-1, Jason McConkey & Ian Carpenter both 9-4, Colin Warmington 2-1.

17nov16 another breaks free of the pack
Just 3 winners today but one was a beaute Nigel Clifford 20-1 and zooms up to 2nd spot, interesting only £4.97 behind Martin Long but he has had 4 more bets, still favour Martin but closer than it looks. Other winners were Carl Dean 11-4 to go 3rd and also 11-4 for Paul Berg to go 13th

16nov16 Loads of Winners
15 winners today so not listing all those out! Everyone in the top 8 of the plate all scored 5 points and best of the day was joint Chris Pascoe & Stan Moore at 11-2 which lifted Chris up to 7th.
Tuesday, 15 November 2016
15nov16 that's a bit better
Dozen winners today with a best of the day for Tommy Smith at 8-1, 1-2 winner for Vince Paige, Stuart Bentham & Barry Pemble, Dave Brammer 5-6, Martin Long consolidating his lead with a 2-5 winner the same as Callum Roberts, Chris Pascoe 5-4, Justin Sercombe & Ian Carpenter both finding a nice 15-8 winner and 10 points and finally Jason McConkey & Ernie Moore both 9-4 capped off a much better day for winners even if the quality was rubbish!
Monday, 14 November 2016
14nov16 slow
Just 3 winners today and the stand out was for Celeste Sharman at 15-2 to leap into a cash spot in 9th, the only others to trouble the scorer were Dave Brammer 4-6 and Tommy Smith 6-4.

13nov16 sad day
Two fav horses leave the stage today - sad
Another subdued day really, just 7 winners Annette Berg & Andy Grinter joint best of the day at 6-1, 3 of us Dave Brammer, me & Matt Raven all had the maybe fortunate Le Prezien at 8-11 Ian Carpenter 13-8 and Jason McConkey 9-2 were the final two winners.
So with only a maximum of 20 bets left it means everyone must have had at least 41 bets so far and there is now no restriction on the maximum SP of any winner (up to now for those who haven't ever read the rules even if you had a winner >33-1 it only counted for 33) anyway that rule is finished so go for those 100-1 shots!

13nov16 arrears
Been away!
So despite doing 3 days in one really not that much to report only about 11 winners across the whole period I suppose Rod Brown's move back up to 3rd warrants a small mention

09nov16 Had to happen
Not Trump! but someone had to eventually get a decent winner and zoom to the top and today it was Martin Long 33-1 to go £17+ clear of a mass of players now in the pack behind him.
Altogether there were 10 winners again so here's the list, Barry Pemble 4-6, Carl Dean 11-8, Colin Warmington 3-1, Gary Pascoe 9-2 that's 4 from the last 5 and moves him nicely into 3rd spot. The final 5 were Michael Brook & Richard Pascoe both 7-1, Paul Berg 5-4, Robert Logan 4-6, & Tommy Smith 3-1.

08nov16 All Set
Another political all-nighter coming up for the big US showdown. I think Trump is going to get it too many people who are polled not admitting that they are going to vote for him Brexit all over!
10 winners for us and the most significant was for Nigel Clifford who in the last 4 bets has had 3 winners 25-1, 6-1, & today 8-1 so he now sits in 4th and is up there as a leading contender especially as he has had loads more bets than those around him. So a quick run through of the others, Barry Pemble 1-4, Colin Warmington 11-2, Gary Pascoe 4-6, Ian Carpenter 4-7, Justin Sercombe 4-7, Paul Stobbart 100-30, Robert Logan 1-4, Stuart Bentham 4-7, and finally Tom McGarrity 15-8.

07nov16 Pretty slow
Usual Monday rubbish so a pretty slow day although the Plate boys found a 10-11 10 pointer they were Robert Logan, Barry Pemble, Stuart Bentham & Chris Pascoe so that just left 3 other winner in top spot was Nigel Clifford at 6-1 to move him onto the leader board in 10th with both Andy Grinter & Michael Brook picking up a 9-2 shot.

06nov16 Anyone's Comp!
Anyone in 25th spot or higher would take over at the top of the leader board with a 20-1 winner, could be one of the most open comps for ages. There hasn't been a winner of the comp with a total under £20 since #7 that's 35 comps ago in November 2003!
6 winners today with Barry Pemble's 1-2 winner enough to move him 2nd in the plate, Gary Pascoe 11-4 to close up nicely on the leaders in 6th spot. Joint best of the day for Michael Brook & Kevin Pratt at 100-30, Paul Stobbart 7-4 & Tom McGarrity 11-8 were the last two.
Sad news today about Vautour who died today!

05nov16 Boom!
Zarkandar falls at the last when coming to win his race and I crash to 3rd spot!
Loads of winners another 15 on Saturday including both Rod Brown & Carl dean so they took over in first and second respectively. Won't trawl through all the other 13, highlights were Kevin Pratt 9-1 just his 2nd winner other 9-1 winners were Vince Paige & Richard Pascoe, Helen Fahey at 4-1 was the only other winner above 2-1!

04nov16 Big Winners
13 winners in total so won't do them all but need to cover off the biggies Vince Paige picked up a rare winner at 10-1 and most of thought he might pick up best of the day but oh no! then came Gerry McCann at 22-1 who would have thought the same but again beaten by Nigel Clifford & Kevin Roberts who both had the same 25-1 winner - good stuff. All the top four in the plate had the same 5-4 10 point winner so not much change there. I sneaked in a 4-6 winner to stay top

03nov16 New Leader
And yes it is me!! I think it was 2005 the last time I was in such a position its a real Leicester City/Chicago Cubs moment. So there were 3 of us with the same 11-8 winner me, Jason McConkey, Matt Raven, Carl Dean went 3rd with his 9-10 winner, Dave Brammer evens, Helen Fahey 11-4, Kieron Badger 4-7, Mark Nutting 4-1, Pete Long & Tom Feeney both picked a 13-8 shot, & finally Paul Stobbart & Steve Carter both at 7-2 made up the 12 winners today.
02nov16 Wembley
Sorry late been to Spurs at Wembley tonight great stadium crap result and game!
How tight is it at the top of the leader board after Carl Dean & I both picked at 5-4 winner and the others all got a loser. Now just £1.35 difference between 1st and 5th place! Best of the day was a very impressive 14-1 winner for Celeste Sharman that brought up a treble and moved her to 8th, other winners were Ben Cheetham 13-8, Colin Warmington 8-1, Gary Pascoe 7-2 to move 7th, Mark Sharman 7-1, and finally Tom Feeney 4-1.

01nov16 Happy Birthday
To me! 60 today and to celebrate I'm joint best of the day today with Craig Connelly at 7-1 which of course did me a power of good moving me 5th and within striking distance, the only other winner today was Paul Berg at 2-1 that shuffled him up a couple of places to 9th.
Getting very tight and exciting at the top of the table Spenser has had most bets so that probably makes him top given he has had 2 more bets than Rod and is only 25p behind
Off out now for a celebrate!
