4 winners on what turned out to be our final day they were Vince Paige & Stuart Bentham both 10 points and 6-4, Kevin Wood 9-4 not quite enough to win cash & best of the day 10-1 for Pete Long.  Sad end to the comp who knows when the one will start.

4 winners Vince Paige I think pretty much wrapped up the plate with his 10 point 2-1 winner 42 points clear is probably enough whatever he picks from now on.  Jason McConkey hit best of the day with a 12-1 winner to go into the top half, others were Helen Fahey 15-2 and Kevin Wood 7-2 to move onto the leader board on the bubble.

22mar20 NEW LEADER & NEW 3RD

9 winners today the top 4 boring platers all picked the same 1-6 winner if they want to catch Vince they are going to have to pick a horse they know he won't pick.  The other 4 were topped by the very nice 20-1 winner for Paul Berg and the equally significant winner for Roger Dore at 7-4, the final 3 winners all picked the same 9-4 winner they were Chris Pascoe, me, Mark Lowry.

A nice little day's racing at Thurles just 3 winners me & Chris Pascoe both 3-1 and best of the day for Martin Long at 13-2, which lifted him into the money in 7th with Chris's winner keeping him just 17p ahead of Martin.

Ireland decides at 1.00pm tomorrow whether racing is stopped if it is then the outcome is shown over otherwise its all at Dundalk on Thursday evening!

6 winners today Vince & Stuart both 4-7 and 5 points the big one was Mark Sharman as he described it as his "hail Mary" and it got there at 25-1 to go 3rd - good one!  The others were  Colin Warmington 100-30, Jimmy McGarrity 5-1 & Michael Brook 7-2.

Bad sign with that lost.  7 winners today as follows: best of the day past champ Andy Stevens 16-1 still well behind though, me and Spenser Mills both 6-4, Michael Brook & Mark Lowry both 13-8, Tom McGarrity 2-5 with his 30th winner and Vince Paige 4-6. 

15mar20 7 ON A POOR DAY

Best of the day was Spenser Mills 9-1 and boy did he need that!  The others were Gemma Thompson 5-6, Helen Fahey 4-1, Mark Lowry 5-2, Stuart Bentham 4-5, Tom Feeney 9-2 to move into 5th & Tom McGarrity 2-5 to retake 3rd spot in the plate.  Special mention for Ben Cheetham who is propping up the table after he just missed out with a 50-1 2nd - bad luck  that would have taken you 4th. 

14mar20 NEW LEADER!

Chris Martin takes over at the top with his 6-1 winner unseating Roger who had been there for a good few weeks.  Overall there were 6 winners so the other 5 were the McGarritys who both also had the same 6-1 winner, best of the day was for Mark Lowry with an outstanding 25-1 winner but that still didn't get him out of the bottom half, Tom Feeney 11-2 & Ian Carpenter also 6-1 were the other two winners.

Only 2 winners today me at 100-30 and Colin Warmington best of the day 11-2.  Festival over for another year not sure it was classic but for me stand out performances were Envoi Allen, Champ's finish & Goshen

Just 4 winners today best was Rod Brown 10-1, Ian Carpenter & Paul Berg both at 100-30 & Robert Logan 9-2 and giving himself a good chance of catching Tom in 3rd in the plate

8 winners today 3 easy ones Me Vince & Stuart Bentham all on Envoi at 4-7, Brian Hammon & Chris Martin both 7-1 which takes Chris into a nice 2nd chasing down the longtime leader.  Others were Gerry McCann 4-1, Michael Brook 6-1 to go back onto the leader board, & finally Mark Sharman with the best of the day 15-2.

09mar20 CHELTERS EVE

Well someone listened to yesterday's plea Chris Martin bangs in a 40-1 winner (trained local to his village). Gloss Slightly knocked off that as the maximum odds are limited to 33-1 until after the 41st bet his was the 38th so bad luck there but still soared up to 2nd place.  The only other winner was Kevin Wood enough to lift him to 3rd even though it was only 5-6

We are all just leaving the race to Roger Dore (who is away) everyone's just slipping back.  Illustrated by today just 3 winners all the same horse at 5-6 and 10 points for Vince, Tom & Robert Logan, so a bad day for Stuart Bentham in the race for the plate.

Assuming that the meeting of sports administrators with the minister doesn't mess things up looks good for this week.  8 Winners today and the best a very impressive 12-1 winner for Ian Carpenter, Tom, Vince & Stuart all picked the same 1-4 winner, Dave Drammer 5-2 to sit 14th just 71p down, Gemma Thompson 4-1, Jason McConkey 7-2 & Robert Logan were the others.

Much less talk today about it not going ahead so getting more excited!  Four winners today Kevin Wood 11-4 to consolidate in 3rd, Martin Long 5-1 t reappear on the leader board, Ian  Carpenter taking no risks with a 1-5 shot and finally Robert Logan 7-4.

Ian Carpenter bagged the only winner today at 9-4.  Better news on Cheltenham odds for it not going ahead have drifted from 6-4 yesterday to 4-1 tonight - very encouraging

By that i mean the chance of Cheltenham happening it really is looking in doubt - I suppose we find out after tomorrow's COBRA meeting. Just 2 winners today Vince & Stuart both picked the same 10 pointer at 6-4.
