29apr22 NOT FOR LONG

Ben responds immediately and goes back top with a 3-1 winner and Jason McConkey follows up his 10-1 winner yesterday with an 11-1 winner today to go 3rd and right in the mix.  Hope for all those players bubbling under the leader board.  other winners were Stuart Bentham 8-13 to make a small dent in Vince's lead in the plate, Andy Warmington 13-8 to nudge up a couple of places and finally Tom McGarrity on the most impressive winner of the day State Man at 11-10 not the most impressive achievement, which was clearly Honeysuckle, but the best winner. 

28apr22 NEW LEADER

Some nice winners today perhaps none of more significance than the 8-1 scored by Tom Feeney to take him top.  Best of the day was me 10-1 to move 5th and Jason McConkey picked the same horse to follow me up the leader board into 7th.  Others were Paul Berg also 8-1 to sit in 17th just £1 off the leader board, Helen Fahey 7-4 to move 12th & last and by no means least Ross Harvey 6-1 and boy did he need it!

Wednesday saw 5 winners Stuart & Vince 8-15, Ben Cheetham the leader 15-8, Ian Walters 17-2 & Kevin Wood also 15-8 to move a couple of spots

Steve Carter bangs in a nice 14-1 winner to move up to 20th place and just 25p down.  Jimmy McGarrity & Richard Pascoe both 3-1, Mark Lowry a nice consolidating winner at 13-8 in 5th place (all 4 above him all lost), Steve Taylor 100-30 & Paul Stobbart 9-4 were the other winners, that took Paul up into the last cash position in the plate.

Friday night so 7 winners they were, Vince Paige 5-6, Roger Dore best of the day 18-1, Mark Nutting & Colin Warmington both 7-2 that took Colin to 10th, Paul Stobbart 4-5 & Tom McGarrity 11-8 were the final 2.  

21apr22 MAGNIFICENT 7

Well 3 really from the 7 winners we had today.  Looked like some of the team might have been "in the know" with Chris Pascoe, Colin Warmington, & John Heneghan all picking the same 16-1 winner.  That put Colin 18th , John 22nd and Chris back on the leader board in 12th.  The other winners were Vince 5-1, Tom McGarrity & Mark Lowry both 9-4 & finally Kevin Wood 11-4 to move up to 7th

Just two winners today Chris Martin 13-2, & Dave Brammer 16-5 his 4th winner in the last 5 and now is basically level in 20th spot.

19apr22 OXFORD SCRAPE HOME

At Kassam earlier for the important 1-0 win for Oxford.  Six winners today perhaps the most significant was the 2-1 winner selected by Andy Warmington & tom Feeney in 2nd & 3rd who both caught up on the leader.  Others were Dave Brammer 100-30, Kevin Wood 9-4, Mark Nutting 4-1, & pat Quinn also 2-1 to go back positive.

Just 3 winner today best was Adrian Hunt 12-1 to move into 13th, followed by Andy Warmington his second 9-2 winner in a row to go 3rd & Mark Lowry 11-4.

17apr22 LATE AGAIN!

8 winners today they were Vince Paige 4-11 & 10 points, Andy Warmington 9-2 to go 4th Brendan Bergin 7-1 to follow Andy up the table to 5th,  Colin Warmington bringing up a double with a 7-4 winner.  the others were Jimmy McGarrity 11-5, Jason McConkey 7-5, Pat Quinn 7-4 & Richard Pascoe 8-15.

17apr22 SURPRISINGLY DIFFICULT

Really as evidenced by only one of the top 15 (who all played) finding a winner, that was Mark Lowry at 6-4, to sit in 6th in a very congested middle of the pack with 4th thru 11th covered by just £2.20.  Four other winners best of which was Pete Long 10-1 to go 17th and +£1.70, others were Colin Warmington & Paul Berg both 5-1 and Dave Brammer 3-1.  

15apr22 SLOW

Unsurprisingly given the racing on offer a slow day with just 19 bets but we managed a few winners Vince Stuart & Dave Brammer all 13-8, Helen Fahey 11-5 to climb onto the leader board and Pete long 85-40 were the five.  

15apr22 BIG WINNER

 Sonya Paige gets a 16-1 winner to shoot up the table and beat Vince's odd on favourite to cost him 5 points.  There were 6 other winners Ben Cheetham continues his surge away at the top of the table bringing up a treble with a 3-1 winner, Andy Stevens moved 7th and in the cash after following up his 15-2 winners yesterday with a 7-2 winner today.  Paul Stobbart & Tom McGarrity both 9-4, and Pat Quinn & Tom Feeney both 11-4 were the others.  

13apr22 OOPS FORGOT

 Sorry missed Tuesday 5 winners Andy Warmington 3-1, Mark Lowry 11-2, Stuart Bentham 2-5, Mark Sharman 11-2, & Vince Paige 2-5.  

So to today best was Andy Stevens 15-2 to go 12th, Ben Cheetham & Vince Paige both 15-8, that was enough for Vince to regain the leadership of the plate, and finally Mark Lowry again at 1-4.

11apr22 MASTER VINCE

The naps Compers in the masters competition performed with mixed outcomes its fair to say.  Vince managed to finish joint 6th out of 2,160 entrants in the main competition collecting a very tidy £625, Steve Taylor got an honourable mention for most double bogies (6) and I managed to record a spectacular 32 over par and joint 2,125th! Just 44 shots behind Vince.  

Back to racing 4 winners today including the leader Cheetham 3-1 to extend his lead, Chris Martin 9-2, Pat Quinn 2-1, & best today was Paul Stobbart at 13-2 to move up to 6th.  

10apr22 NEW LEADER IN PLATE

Stuart regains the lead in the plate on winners countback although Vince still has 3 games in hand, that was after Stuart's even money winner.  That was just one of only 3 winners today, others were Tom Feeney with a nice 7-2 winner closed up to just 77p off the lead and Helen Fahey had best of the day at 9-2 to move 16th and positive.

8 winners today for us 3 managed to pick a nice win by Langer Dan at 4-1 they were Kevin Wood, Frank Tubman & Jason McConkey.  Ben Cheetham & Tom McGarrity both had Jonbon in his gutsy win at evens.  Best of the day was Andy Stevens 8-1 to go positive, the final two both at 10-11 were Mark Lowry & Stuart Bentham - busy day!

03apr22 LOADS OF NICE WINNERS

Topped by debutante Brendan Bergin at 18-1 to make his first ever appearance on the leader board in 6th, Roger Dore finally stirred and produced a 12-1 winner.  Richard Pascoe & Helen Fahey both 6-1 which took Helen positive on +98p, Tom Feeney 7-2 to go 4th, Mark Lowry 4-5, Tom McGarrity 5-4, and finally a nice 10 pointer at 8-13 for Terry Matthews to go 5th in the plate and 11th on the main.

02apr22 LEADER CONSOLIDATES

Ben Cheetham brings up a 3 timer with a 6-4 winner this evening to move a bit ahead at the top of the table.  Andy Stevens & I both managed to pick the very impressive winner of the Scottish National at 13-2 and only other winner was mark Lowry 85-40 to just make it onto the leader board.

Now if I can just repeat the national success next week we'll be flying!

from zero to best ever 10 winners today obviously helped by 4 people Stuart, Vince, Ben Cheetham & Terry Matthews all picking the same 2-1 winner.  The 6 others were Colin Warmington & Mark Lowry both 13-2, Jason McConkey 9-4, Kevin Wood 3-1, best of the day for Pete Feeney to go into contention at the top with an 11-1 winner.  Finally, Paul Stobbart 11-8.
