30apr24 PUNCHESTOWN DAY 1

Five winners, joint best of the day were me and Darren Mills 6-1 (different picks) which at this early stage was enough to put us both on the leader board.  Vince & Mark Lowry both 16-5 and 10 points with Carol Carter getting a winner in the last of the day at 100-30 making up the five.  

29apr24 AND AGAIN

Three winners Frank Tubman a four timer at 9-4 the same as Martin Long who just makes it to the leader board, finally Shelly Wood got off the mark with the best of the day 5-2

Roll on Punchestown from tomorrow followed by the guineas at HQ

28apr24 SAME AGAIN

Another 3 winners bringing up a treble for Frank and into 5th with a 5-2 winner, the others were Gary Cawsey evens and best of the day and off the mark for Kevin Wood 7-2.  

27apr24 BACK TO NORMAL

Three winners and the stand out was for Kevin Dighton 17-2 to move to 3rd the others were Robert Logan 4-11 to close in on the top spot in the plate and Frank Tubman 13-8 to go back positive and on the leader board

26apr24 DECENT DAY AT LAST

topped by Jason Stevens 15-2, a total of 7 winners 3 of them were me, Gary Cawsey, & Paul Stobbart 9-4, Tom McGarrity 8-11, Steve Taylor 10 points and 6-4 and finally Robert Logan 4-5.  Much better finally!

4 winners today all pretty moderate Gary Cawsey &  Frank Tubman both 13-8, me 11-8 & Tom McGarrity 2-1.

Five winners and a new leader after Pete Feeney picked a nice 11-1 winner to just make it to the top, the others were Robert Logan & Ross Harvey both 2-5 and 10 points and Richard Pascoe 9-4 and Ian Carpenter 1-7

but of some significance as our defending champion gets a v nice 14-1 winner to go 2nd the only other was for Jimmy McGarrity who got of the mark with a 3-1 shot.

We did manage 4 winner 3 of them the same 10 pointer for Vince Steve T and Tom McGarrity 5-6 the other one was Robert Logan 100-30 on to record his 4 5 pointer and split up the guys above on the plate leader board 

18apr24 NOT WORTH WAITING FOR!

Just two winners again they were Tom McGarrity, 4-9 and a decent winner for the defending champion at 17-2 to go 3rd

28 players but not much improvement on our strike rate just 3 winners, Kevin Dighton & Ben Cheetham both 4-1 and  Paul Stobbart 7-4 was all we managed.  

16apr24 A TOUCH BETTER

Two winners Andy Warmington best of the day 5-1 and me off the mark now the flat is back properly at 5-2.

15apr24 SOLITARY ONE

Martin Long gets off the mark with the only winner of the day at 9-2, not much else I can say!

14pr24 SUPER SLOW

This comp definitely still to get going just 13 players today on what was admittedly a crap days racing1  Two winners Robert Logan 4-11 & Tom McGarrity 4-7.

I'll send the first excel out later, it does still have some possible players included we will give them another week especially Shelly & Helen who both said they are playing but no cash or communication so it may be that we are just 43 for this one

13apr24 GN BLANK FOR US

Lots of bet went down on Corach best we got was Delta in 2nd.  Apart from the GN there were just 2 winners best was Pete Feeney 9-2 consolidating in 2nd and the only other scorer was Robert Logan 6-5.

Well at least jason lost so comp not quite over yet!  4 winners today from a more full set of entries, they were Carol Carter 5-1, Mark Lowry now 3 from 4 at 11-10, Steve Carter also 11-10 & Tom McGarrity 6-4.

Jason Stevens on fire 3rd winner 18-1 to soar top with 3 from 3 other winners were Steve Taylor 3-1, Mark Lowry evens.

10apr24 FIRST DOUBLE

Jason Stevens goes 2 for 2 with the only winner today at 15-2 to close down on the early leader, biggest day but still only 16 played.  Expecting more now we have the Aintree meeting starting

09apr24 LATE SORRY

 Got a bit side tracked by footie and dinner, 2 winners on Wednesday mark Lowry 4-9 & Jason Stevens 5-1 to go 2nd, still very few players, a total of only 35 in the 3 days so far.

08apr24 FIRST BIG WINNER

Pete Feeney 16-1 to zoom top from a very slow day only 8 played, one other winner Robert Logan setting out his stall for another pop at the plate especially as the defending champion Stuart Bentham is sitting out Robert's winner was 8-15.

07apr24 FIRST DAY & ENTRIES UPDATE

One winner 7-2 for Ben Cheetham but there were only 12 players today.

We have 40 players confirmed and paid + 3 confirmed not paid (Helen Fahey, Shelly Wood, & Gary Dighton).

We also haven't yet heard anything from the following 7 who played last time, Audrey Duffy, Mark Sharman, Dave Sharman, Brendan Bergin, Chris Martin, John Heneghan Dave Klein.

So file not complete so won't send excel until next week.  

ENTRIES UPDATE 04APR24

 36 in and paid with 2 new players, a few look like they are sitting out and 4 said yes but cash not in yet

Think we should be looking at mid 40s as the final total so still should get us to  £1,000 first prize

WE ARE BACK FOR COMP #52 STARTS 07APR24

 We have 27 paid and 4 confirmed to pay so good strong start and plenty of those we haven't heard from are regulars so should be decent turnout
