16nov24 FINAL DAY COMP #53

Ended up on a final tally for the last day of 3 winners Colin Warmington & George Casserly both 10-1.  Adrian Hunt the big gainer on the final day with his 9-1 winner moved from 6th (£100) to 2nd (£450).  Plate was settled long ago.

So congratulations to Andy his first win in the comp so a new name on the trophy.  I gave the trophy to Vince and he will deliver - lets have a picture of it in pride of place.  Also to Mark Lowry spot on consistent plate performance and a cash spot in the main comp.  But how the mighty are fallen defending champ Chris Pascoe failed to trouble the scorers at all and was 54th!

Current thoughts for the next comp to be basically Feb to first weekend of May so capturing Cheltenham, Aintree and Punchestown to finish at Newmarket, a new course for the final day, and the guineas meeting.  We will send out reminders etc. in January.

Happy Xmas - I'll be at Kempton Boxing Day for the King George

15nov24 JUST ONE SO FAR

Two results to come and so far just Spenser Mills with a cracking 22-1 winner to go 4th

See you tomorrow at Chelters

14nov24 TWO BIG WINNERS

7 in total but the two big ones were Gary Cawsey 33-1 & Andy Stevens 25-1 this put bot of them positive and just below 10th spot.  The other winners were Jake Fifield 4-1, Dave Brammer 2-1, George Casserly 10-11, Mark Nutting 100-30, Shelly Wood 11-10.

12nov24 NICE MOVE

Mark Lowry pops in a 10-1 winner to zoom up to 3rd in the main comp and is certain to finish in the top two in the plate so the double winner is still on.  The other winners were Adrian Hunt 2-1 to just stay ahead of Mark in 2nd place & Frank Tubman 13-8.

11nov24 EARLY UPDATE

Assuming Carol Carter doesn't have  66-1 winner tonight then we have had 6 winners, Robert Logan & Mark Lowry both 4-9, Stuart Bentham 9-4, Gary Cawsey best of the day 12-1, Richard Pascoe 11-4, & Shelly Wood evens.

10nov24 REMEMBERANCE

Just 2 winners today Paul Berg 9-2 the best of the day and moved him up 2 places into 3rd but still no one making any sort of dent in Andy's £20+ lead.  Only other winner was Mark Lowry 1-4 and 5 points, he is now certain to finish in the top two and the wheels would really have to fall off for him not to win.

Excel on its way and don't forget Chelters next Saturday for the final day.

CORRECTION

Paul has 5 courses to go for the full set not 4 and they are Perth, Fakenham, Taunton, Hereford, Ffos Las, could probably kill the last 3 in one trip to this neck of the woods quite easily.

09nov24 ABANDONED

After all that wait the final race got abandoned as they couldn't move the stalls off the track!  So just 3 winners for us yesterday Steve Taylor & Mark Nutting both on the same 9-2 winner & Mark Lowry probably wrapping up the plate with a 10 pointer at 15-8.  He needs 35 points from 6 selections to get on the all time top 10 or to catch up £30 in the main comp to be the first to win both!

The intrepid band of naps compers made their way to Kelso yesterday which brought Paul Stobbart to just 4 courses left that he hasn't been to don't know which 4.

L-R Stuart Bentham, Paul Stobbart & Ben Cheetham

07nov24 HALF A DOZEN

Most significant was Jake Fifield 13-2 to go from 5th to 2nd but Andy still sitting pretty £18+ clear of the field and has 4 less bets to go.  Ben Cheetham & Colin Warmington both 7-2, Gary Pascoe 2-1, George Casserly 8-15, finally Pete Long 6-4.

06nov24 JUST 4

Mark Lowry & Vince Paige both 4-9, Frank Tubman a very nice 20-1 winner but he was a long way back and probably needs another one!  Finally Dave Brammer 9-4 to bring him back onto the leader board.

05nov24 BOOM BOOM

03nov24 LESS THEN 2 WEEKS TO GO

7 winners for us today, top two in plate picked same winner again at 10-11 and 10 points, a top 10 of all time finish still on for Mark especially after 20 points across the weekend. Best of the day 10-1 for Pete Long puts him +£2 & 14th.  Three players picked the same 5-1 winner Andy Stevens, Shelly Wood & Gary Pascoe which moved him up to 3rd.  That just leaves Jimmy McGarrity who is making a move at just the right time bringing up a treble with a 16-5 winner and moves into a cash spot on the leader board.

Vince says that tickets for club at Chelters for 16th getting close to sold out so if you are planning joining us on the final day might be worth getting on that, apparently £50.

03nov24 DON'T PANIC NO ONE ON THE 200-1 WINNER TODAY!

 No one
