18jan26 FINAL DAY REPORT

Met at Windsor and there was only one winner today and that was rather fittingly our new champion Mark Lowry, congratulations to him and we see the cup heading north for the first time.  Vince won the plate for the millionth time coming out on top in the usual battle with Stuart for the honours, Spencer Mills 'won' the lasts comp and gets a free go to the next comp I'm still amazed at the % of last placed finishers we get very nearly 8%

No real details on timings of next comp but won't be before Cheltenham but will capture Aintree, Punchestown, Newmarket and Royal Ascot, we will take a few soundings about a final day in Yorkshire or thereabouts around end of June early July.

Happy hunting, Vince will sort cash and final excel on its way 

17jan25 TREBLE

Just 3 winners Vince evens to wrap up first place in the plate, Mark Nutting 5-2 to nudge up to 4th and final winner was Shelly Wood 6-4.

Of most significance was Jimmy McGarrity only 11-2 but enough to lift him into 3rd spot (£250), other winners Vince & Stuart both 5 points and Martin Long moved into a cash spot in 7th (£50) with a 6-4 winner and finally Shelly Wood 7-2, not out of it on -£8.86 in this low scoring comp.  

2 days to go so can Mark Lowry hold on for his first win at his 11th attempt (first comp was 2017/18 #44)

5 winners all short priced and all 5 of the top 5 in the plate! So me 11-4 & 10 points, Vince & Ian 1-10 and 5 points, Mark Lowry 1-4 to go a little further clear at the top of the main leader board and finally Stuart Bentham 2-13 and 5 points

13jan25 TIGHTENING FOR THE CASH IN THE PLATE

Stuart Bentham 8-11 and 5 points to draw within 3 points, Ian Carpenter 5-2, Pete Long 13-2, Steve Taylor 4-1 to get close to the cash, Tom Elliston 10-1, Andy Stevens late tonight bangs in a 22-1 winner obv. best of the day and puts 13th just £6 off the cash and in the mix, finally Richard Pascoe 100-30 to go on the bubble in 9th  

12jan25 ONLY ONE WINNER BUT HIGH DRAMA

Mark Lowry continues his run with a 3-1 winner and that was just enough to sneak 13p ahead at the top of the leader board.

There has only been one winner with a total of under £20 in the last 48 competitions that's since March 2004!

11jan26 NICE WINNER MOVES LEADER BOARD

Mark Nutting at 14-1 to slip into 4th and poised!  Mark Lowry continues the slow reel in 2-5 winner today 5th on the bounce and 10 from the last 14.  Stuart Bentham gained another 5 points on Vince with a 2-15 winner and finally Tom Elliston 11-4.

Joint leaders in the last place consolation prize and in the spirit of that silly booby prize I think the person with the fewest winners should be the tie break - so that's Spencer ATM on zero!

10jan25 WELL THAT WAS CRAP!

10 out of 16 from the field and 18 selections and best we did was 2 x 2nd and a third!  Just Tom Elliston to go but not waiting only 2 winners Adrian Hunt 4-1 and Mark Lowry another small step nearer with an 4-11 winner.  John Caley joins Spencer Mills on 10 for the most last places - not got a rule for shared winner I'll think on it!
