20aug10 half way

Today is the day when we overall will have placed more bets than we have left so the half way mark.

Firstly bear in mind that all is not lost if Vince can be nearly +30 in the first half then we all could in the 2nd half!!

So before today we have placed 964 bets (excluding the 33 forced losers) and had just 179 winners or 18.6% win rate, with an overall loss on those bets of 165.78 i.e. losing % of 17% - call ourselves racing fans that is pretty pathetic really.

Lets sharpen our act up some thrid parties might be watching this blog!!

19aug10 hooray

Busy day and the hooray is for me finally getting a winner, 8-1, Mark K also picked this winner and so with 2 other short priced winners (Mark O and Gary D) we were 4 from 27 today.

Those winners lifted me to mid table mediocrity and Mark K into 3rd place on +11.00 just 17.50 behind Vince who leads on +28.50.

18aug10 2 good winners

Quiet day yesterday but more action today only 3 winners but those included 10-1 for Pat Q and 14-1 for Roger in the Ebor. This lifted Roger into the cash and knocked Lee out of the cash for the first time since the 2nd bet of the competition.

Plate sees Rod 5 points clear of Kevin W but Kevin has 1 bet in hand. Gary D lies a further 6 loints back from 2nd with 2 bets in hand.

16aug10 a few return

18 bets 2 winners and 4 forced losers. Winners were Ian C and Justin at evens and 8-11 respectively - nuff said.

Vince is still away so this was our chance to catch up, but no-one is taking it. Well possibly Steve has with his 18-1 winner!

Already got one new recruit ready for the main winter jumps competition lined up keen fan based in Towcester. Get the feeling that we could get a bumper entry and break all prize money records - lets all get recruiting. We are still testing the new scoring system for the plate competition and I get the feeling it may need a bit of refinement but still waiting for feedback from Vince and Steve. Must be tough in accountancy :-)
