Joint best of the day at 12-1, for the leader, Spenser Mills, to go even further clear & Terry Matthews to go 50p up. Paul Berg 17-2 helped the cause and Stuart Bentham popped in a 8-13 winner to bring up a 6 timer.
Staggeringly good performance from Spenser the average winning total across the whole 50 comps is only £38 and given that the worst Spenser can finish is already above that illustrates the point. Only 3 totals higher than the current £66.00 Spenser is up have ever been recorded, they were Lee Constable best ever £118.91 (included a 100-1 winner), Pete long £95.22 (included a 66-1 winner) and Gary Dighton £68.76, the most recent in 2018.
