9 winners for us today so here goes, Andy Vinall & Gerry McCann both joint best of the day at 9-2, Dave Barker & Mark Nutting both 3-1,  Matt Raven & Spenser Mills both 11-10, Paul Mott 11-4 which meant he closed to within 25p of the leader as Rod had a loser.  The final pair were Stuart Bentham 4-9 & Sarah Parker who got off the mark also with a 3-1 winner.

Poor old Willie Mullins - what must have gone on to cause that can't be just training fees really can it!

28sep16 Go USA @ Hazeltine

8 winners for us today best a very impressive 12-1 for best of the day and 6th spot on the leader board.  Mark Nutting scraped onto the foot of the leader board with his 7-1 winner and Mark Sharman joined in the fun with a 9-1 winner.  Back at the short priced section were Richard Pascoe 6-4, Spenser Mills & Paul Stobbart both 4-5 and me & Vince Paige both 4-7.

Just 2 winners today Lee Constable got off the mark with a 7-1 winner and Michael Brook 9-2 to move 6th.  Barry Pemble, an old plate favourite, made his first appearance of the comp on the leader board following his 5 point 2nd - is it just a match between him and Justin or will Robert Logan, Stuart and Vince join in the fray

6 of the best for us today topped by Paul Mott who got off the mark with a cracking 25-1 winner to zoom to 2nd spot.  Plenty of other nice winners Carl Dean 2-1, Colin Warmington 5-1, Dave Brammer 6-1, Mark Nutting 9-2.

25sep16 Nice Day

Well unless you are a West Ham supporter!  8 winners for us best of which Tom McGarrity 8-1 to just nip ahead of dad.  Others were Barry Pemble who went to 4 from 6 with his 5-4 winner, Dave Barker & Ian Carpenter both 5-2, Dave Brammer 3-1 to go 6th, and finally Gary Pascoe, me & Matt Raven all 11-4 meaning I make a rare appearance on the leader board!

Final numbers only 61 after looking like getting into the 70's a fair few who said yes never bothered to send cash and start.

Vince and I will sort out the prizes and they will appear on next weeks excel  but given that there are only 2 more players than the spring comp won't be very different and top prize will remain at £1,100

24sep16 Well got that wrong!

Easy day to report just two winners Spenser Mills brings up a 4 timer with a 5-1 winner to go 2nd beginning to show his class hope he is backing some of these and the only other player to trouble the scorer was Martin Long a very nice 17-2 winner to go 5th and into the cash in the plate.

Strange day what was going on at HQ with all the fancied horses being beaten.  So for me that is 7 naps on horses with SP of evens or worse and so far just only one of then has won!

9.00 Dundalk on a Friday night! thanks Stan :-) and after all that it only came 2nd!

8 winners topped by Dave Klein off the mark with a 17-2 winner but still only enough to lift him to 23rd, Paul Berg moved second with a nice 5-1 winner, Spenser Mills brought up a treble and Matt Raven both had a 7-2 winner.  Steve Carter, Kevin Roberts & Annette Berg all had 11-8 winners and finally Robert Logan had his 6th winner at 5-4 to move nicely clear at the top of the plate.

Sorry for the slight delay out last night and there were some evening selections

9 winners today best was 8-1 for Spenser Mills two in a row and 4th on the leader board, he was closely followed by Paul Berg 15-2 and 3rd on the leader board.  Three of us picked the same 7-2, 10 point winner, me, Robert Logan & Chris Pascoe, & the others were Stuart Bentham 5-6, Barry Pemble 7-4, Ian Carpenter 9-4, & Dave Brammer 5-2 to feature on both leader boards at this early stage.

6 winners Dave Brammer 11-8, Helen Fahey & Kieron Badger both 5-2, Justin Sercombe a nice 3-1 winner and 10 points to get close to the top of the plate.  Best of the day Pat Quinn Jnr 13-2 and finally Spenser Mills, the reigning champion, gets off the mark with a 9-2 winner.

Just 5 winners again today so same old same old - what a sluggish start to the comp!

Joint best of the day was was just 3-1 and that was for Steve Carter, Carl Dean & Andy Vinall, enough to lift Andy to a cash paying spot on the leader board.  The other two winners were Stuart Bentham & Ian Carpenter both the same 5-6 winner.

5 winners nothing of note but best of the day award fell to Jimmy McGarrity at just 5-2, Carl Dean got off the mark with a 2-1 winner, Barry Pemble & Robert Logan both had 4-7 winners, Gary Pascoe 5-4 was the only other to trouble the scorer

Sunday saw just 2 winners Martin Long 10-1 to get to the leader board and get off the mark at the same time and Ben Cheetham 7-4 to go 6th.

The only real significant winner in the rest of the was Jake Fifield who managed to capture the winner of the Gold Cup at 11-1 to go 2nd 13.50 up

10 winners today with nice joint best of the winners Craig Connelly & Tim Catlin both at 10-1.  Others were Ben Cheetham 5-2, Callum Roberts & Dave Barker both 9-4, Dave Brammer 7-1, Jo Hutson off the mark with a 9-2 winner, Matt Raven and Richard Pascoe both 8-11 and our leader bangs in another one at 5-2.

So loads of changes on the leader boards as over still have 4 left to pay so final numbers not yet known

Just 3 winners again joint best of the day for Tim Catlin & Michael Brook 8-1 and Gerry McCann got off the mark with a 2-1 winner.

11sep16 tough day

and an anniversary of the change of the world!

But looked like it was tough for us as well only 3 winners - probably mainly caused by O'Brien's nearly all getting turned over at The Curragh.  The best of the day was Jason McConkey whose 3-1 winner got him off the mark.  The others were Kieron Badger 5-6 but that was enough to get him to the foot of both leader boards, and Stuart Bentham 4-9 also enough to lift him onto both leader boards.

And it went to rod Brown who was already leading so he zooms clear of the field with his 16-1 winner.  There were 6 other winners Annette Berg & Mark Sharman both 7-2 to both make the leader board,  Helen Fahey & Stuart Bentham both 7-4, Kieron Badger off the mark with a 3-1 shot, and finally Paul Berg 5-2 to go 2nd.

There would have been a fair few more winners if Idaho hadn't stumbled and lost the race when looking in a good position - talk about unlucky!

So with one very late result to come for Kieron Badger and I'm going out the day brought 6 winners best was Rod Brown who got off the mark with the best winner so far in this comp at 8-1 to go top, others were Jake Fifield at 4-1 to go 2nd, Maurice Edgington (me) at 3-1 to make a rare appearance on the leader board,  Kevin Roberts & Robert Logan both 4-7, and Dave Brammer 9-2.

Can I ask those still not paid to pay ASAP

5 winners today Jimmy McGarrity got off the mark with the best of the day 5-1 and went 3rd giddy heights after the disaster in the last comp :-).  Other winners were Kevin Roberts & Kevin Wood both 13-8, Paul Berg 9-2 to go 3rd and Robert Logan 2-5.

Looks like 4 of the 6 we are waiting for will drop out as no shows so we should be 69

Just 5 winners today they were Dave Barker 5-1, our leader maintaining his top spot that's Jon Curtis at 2-1, best of the day and now joint leader Michael Brook 13-2, Paul Berg off the mark at 6-4, and finally Paul Stobbart 11-4 to move onto the leader board.

05SEP16 Day 2 and growing

Now up to 73 players with just 6 left to confirm so going to be a big one first prize might get up into the region of £1,200

Today saw 4 winners best of the day for Kevin Roberts 4-1, with Ian Carpenter & Stuart Bentham both 8-11 and me off the mark with a magnificent 8-13 winner.  Still 37 players left to have their first bet!

02SEP16 Day 1 Finished

So we are currently at 72 entries but we still have 7 to confirm if playing so sort of expecting that to fall as these guys have not responded to emails and yesterdays reminder text! Hardly suggests they are enthusiastic :-).

So today 27 selections and three winners with Jon Curtis, unusually keen start from him, banging in an 11-2 winner to go top Gary Pascoe 3-1, and Jake Fifield 5-2 were the others starting with a winner. My even money selection missed the break and got turned over so looks like last comps form is continuing!

Won't bother to send email update after just this first day but expect one next Sunday

COMP #42 ENTRIES UPDATE

At 1.35pm Saturday we are at 52 confirmed players with 16 who played in the last comp still to let me know if they are playing again so a pretty good entry so far

Every chance of exceeding the summer comp total and boosting the prizes a little

Carry on finding new converts another 500 and first prize would be 15,000 :-)

Oh and I would have to stop work!
