31dec21 FAREWELL

To 2022 4 people celebrated the end of this year with a winner they were Helen Fahey 11-4, Rob Brown 11-8, Steve Taylor, struck down with Covid, but got a 7-2 winner as consolation and finally best of the day for Tom Feeney 11-2 he now sits 16th and close to the leader board.

30dec21 BACK TO ORDINARY

Just 3 winners today those were all small Richard Pascoe7-2, roger Dore 5-2, and Helen Fahey 11-4 which puts her close to the leader board in 15th

29dec21 ALL CHANGE

Loads of nice winners the bet of which was 22-1 for Ben Cheetham that took him 5th, Sonya Paige 12-1 to go 6th, Jason McConkey 9-2, Kevin Dighton 4-1 to extend his lead, but not by quite as much as he would have hoped as Roger Dore picked a 7-4 winner as well.  Stuart Bentham 2-9 and 5 points against Vince's 0 extended his control in the plate.  Finally Spenser Mills 11-1 to also get onto a very different leader board to yesterday in 12th and not to be left out Tom McGarrity also picked up a 9-4 winner.

28dec21 25s TODAY

Robert Dudley picked up a nice 25-1 winner to zoom up to 4th place see all is not lost for us languishing in the bottom half.  We had 6 winners in total the other 5 were Andy Stevens 9-2, Frank Tubman & Roger Dore both 5-2, Rod Brown 3-1 and Ben Cheetham 7-1 on Galvin that nutted A Plus Tard and ruined my trixie :-(

27dec21 68 ALL OUT !

No changes in the order on either leader board yesterday everyone on the main comp leader board had a loser!  Overall 5 winners Stuart & Vince carried on selecting the same horse again which won at 4-11 and 10 points of course.   Helen Fahey 9-4, Tom jones 3-1 and a very nice best of the day for Tom Feeney at 16-1 to move him up from very near the bottom to mid table

26dec21 KING GEORGE

Great day at Kempton today and some good racing back again tomorrow! For us 7 winners best of the day was Jimmy McGarrity 11-1 and 4 people had a 4-1 winner they were Tommy Smith, Richard Pascoe, Robert Dudley & Sonya Paige which put her back on both leader boards.  The other two were Vince and Stuart on the same horse again at 2-9 and another 10 points each.    

25dec21 HAPPY XMAS

This update incorporates the 3 upcoming blank days which is of some significance as by the 25th we have 15 players that are dormy.  

Anyway much better today, 8 winners very much topped by Jason McConkey with a 20-1 winner to zoom up to 6th place and in the cash - nice one.  Other decent winners were Andy Stevens 9-1, and Mark Lowry 5-1, maybe a sign he is breaking out of the trailing pack behind the 3 leaders.  Roger Dore popped in a 3-1 winner to put Kevin under a mild bit of pressure out front.  Other winners were me, Vince and Stuart all on the same 1-4 winner that should have been 10 points but wasn't, and finally Tom McGarrity 4-6 to keep in the pack nicely.  

Have a good time and wow 3 days with no racing what am I going to do - I'll be at Kempton on 26th Covid permitting let me know if anyone else is going.

21dec21 ANOTHER POOR DAY

 Other than the 3 leaders we are all simply missing the best we can seem to muster is 10% winners don't understand how this comp is so difficult at least it is not only me! 3 again today they were Andy Warmington & Robert Dudley both 7-2 in the dead heat and Roger Dore 5-2 to sneak back into 2nd

20dec21 RARE EVENT

A winner for me! The first for 30 bets since 2nd November and that was 2-13, today a massive 15-8 and best of the day.  Other winners were Dave Brammer 6-4, and Kevin Wood 13-8 to scrape onto the foot of the leader board in 10th.  

19dec21 COLD & FOGGY

Quiet winter's day with just 4 winners Stuart Bentham opened the lead back up a little at the top of the plate with a 2-5 winner, Richard Pascoe moved into the cash in 6th with a 11-4 winner, Spenser Mills returned to the leader board with the 9-2 outsider in the 2 horse race and finally  Helen Fahey kept up her respectable hit rate to stay 14th with an 8-11 winner.

16dec21 JUST ONE STORY

Another big winner for Kevin Dighton 22-1 to forge clear of the two at the top great pick on our busiest day of the comp 38 players (inc. 3 forced losers).  That means the lowest total Kev can end on is £17.98 probably not quite enough but a few more short priced winners might be all he needs.  Other winners were Vince at 4-5 and 10 points to make up some ground on Stuart in the plate, Ben Cheetham 6-5 and Richard Pascoe 7-4.

15dec21 BUSY

34 bets 5 winners and they were, best of the day, Sonya Paige 6-1 to make it to the plate leader board, Dave Brammer 100-30, Stuart Bentham 2-5 and pulled 5 points further clear at the top of the plate and finally Tom McGarrity brought up a treble and 5 from the last 7 with a 7-4 winner and sits 5th.  

24dec21 LEADERS TRADING BLOWS

Roger's turn to nab a winner today only 5-2 but brings him close as they both stretch their lead over the rest of us.  Seven winners in total Dave Klein 1000-30 to go 3p up, Mark Lowry 11-10, Richard Pascoe 5-1 to also return to the leader board, Stuart Bentham moved another 4 points ahead of Vince with a 1-3 winner and finally Sonya Paige and Tom McGarrity both 1-2 and 10 points.

Some nice winners today, three people had the same 6-1 winner Tommy smith, to go top, Robert Dudley, & Andy Warmington.  The other four were Tom McGarrity & Gary Dighton both 2-1, Helen Fahey best of the day 13-2, and finally Colin Warmington 7-2.

The top 3 in the premiership all won by virtue of a penalty scored!  

Just three scorers for us as well Tom Feeney 3-1, Jimmy McGarrity 100-30 and best of the day by a country mile Kevin Dighton 12-1 to go into a clear 3rd.  Slight suggestion as we get a little into the second half of the comp that the top 3 are pulling way.  Also a slight suggestion that Vince's crown is slipping in the plate as he records his second nil points as Stuart waits for him to catch up!

10dec21 DEFENDING CHAMP AWAKENS

Roger Dore pops in yet another O'Brien winner this time at the rather unbelievable price of 14-1 ad that takes him top, just, on level bets with Tommy.  Three other winners Kevin wood a nice 9-1 winner to make the leader board, Tom McGarrity another consistent day for him 2-1 winner and now 3rd in the plate and Jason McConkey 100-30.

Another slow day with just 3 winners Ross Harvey picked up his second 217-2 winner in a row Sonya Paige 7-4 and Ian Carpenter 4-1 were the others who troubled the scorers!

08dec21 ONLY ONE STORY TONIGHT

Super winner for Mark Lowry today 50-1 (restricted to 33-1 for the calculations) the largest winner we have seen for a long time, might even justify a place on the Role of Honour and immortality!  That shot him up into 2nd place - great stuff.  The only other winner was Helen Fahey at 2-1.  All of the top 6 in the plate didn't have a bet!

07dec21 A LITTLE BETTER

4 winners today Sonya Paige 6-5. Kevin Dighton (goes 4th) & Dave Brammer (goes 12th) both had the same 15-8 winner and best of the day for Ross Harvey with a fine 17-2 winner, which to be fair he needed as he was down next to me in the table :-)

Just another 2 winners today so that's just a paltry 7 winners from the last 75 selections over the last 3 days.  So today's super tipsters were Sonya Paige evens, and Martin Long, again, 7-2 which moved him up to 3rd.

Just a reminder about cut offs recently I have had two very late selections come in both for evening meetings, one after 4pm and one well after 2pm.  I have rejected but unfortunately they both won.  Please make sure you get texts in by 1.30pm or 30 minutes before the schedule race start time.

 What I mean is plenty of winners that were easy to pick especially in Ireland just not for us our total today was just 2 8-13 for Martin Long and best of the day for Ben Cheetham at 7-2.  three of us were on the 1-14 shot that got overturned in Ireland and it was beaten fair and square.

04dec21 ANOTHER SLOW ONE

 Just 3 winners today Frank Tubman best at 3-1, with Gerry McCann off the mark and Richard Pascoe on the same 2-1 winner.  Both leaders in the plate failed to score.  

03dec21 A HANDFULL

 5 winners today and significant in the plate Stuart popped in his 4-9 5 pointer and Vince failed to score!  The other winners were Paul Berg 5-2 to move up a couple of places into 7th and cash, and three others all on the same 7-4 winner were Sonya Paige, Gary Dighton & Tom McGarrity

02dec21 GOOD DAY FOR LEADER

Just two winners and the best of them 7-2 for Tommy Smith the leader, that puts him very nicely over  £12 clear - the one to catch at about this half way stage in terms of number of bets placed.  The only other winner was Paul Stobbart who brought up a three timer with a small 4-7 winner.
