The voice of my racing youth leaves us I suppose 97 would be something we would all settle for!

7 winners today with a resounding best of the day at 14-1 for Tommy Smith to move him up to 7th, Carl Dean 9-2, Maurice Edgington 4-1, Justin Sercombe & Kevin Roberts 5-4 and 10 points which brings Justin to the leader board and sends Kevin clear at the top.  The final 2 were on the same 2-5 winner and they were Chris Pascoe & Natasha Tizzano.

Well it looks that way as only 2 of us managed a winner they were Matt Harrison 8-1 to zoom back onto the leader board and Mark Sharman 9-4 who followed him back among the leaders

27jul15 Class will tell

Last times Champ messing about for the first 30+ bets, went dormy last week, but bangs in his first winner, best of the day 11-1, to go back level and on the leader board!  Other winners 10 points and 5-1 for Justin Sercombe who continues his climb up plate table and now sits 10th after 25 points from the last 4 - he was just toying with them he has only had 18 bets and is now for my mind the leader.  Jay Lewis 11-8 to consolidate 4th, Kevin Wood 5-1 and 10 points to sit poised in 5th and finally Micky Jenner also 5-1 to move up to 7th on the main table and in the cash.

Best of the day was Jason McConkey today with a late in the day 5-1 winner to lift him from the foot of the table, other winners were Maurice Edgington (me) 7-4, Dave Kingsbury 8-15 and the leader with a nice consolidation 4-9 winner.

25jul15 Another handfull

Joint best of the day for Pete Long & Mark Sharman both picking the 7-1 winner of the big Ascot Handicap (favourite counts as a runner - RP has it just shown as left at the start).  That 10 point winner, the 2nd in as many days, took Pete 2nd in the plate and 5th overall, it was also enough to get Mark Sharman onto the foot of the leader board.  Chris Pascoe & Dave Kingsbury both had the same 11-10 winner leaving Justin Sercombe 11-2 and 10 points the only other winner.

24jul15 Nice Winner

For Micky Jenner 12-1 to move him into the last cash spot in 9th.  Five others also scored they were Chris Pascoe 7-4, Justin Sercombe 8-15, Kevin Wood 5-2, Natasha Tizzano 5-2 to move 12th, and finally Steve Carter 5-2.

Slight suggestion for those guys at the top of the plate that the big guys might be eyeing up the prize with Kevin Wood & Justin Sercombe last comps champ both picking winners and Vince Paige isn;t far away either - watch out :-)

23jul15 easy?

Certainly looked like it with 12 winners including me which given my record so far is definitely a sign that the winners were pickable!  Best of the day was Kevin Roberts 6-1 not quite enough to take over at the top.  Pete Long's 5-1 winner and 10 points meant good progress on both leader boards, others were Tom Feeney 8-13, Roger Dore 2-1, Helen Fahey 100-30, Rod Brown 9-4, Me 6-5, Jason McConkey 9-4, Jade Edgington 7-2, Jay Lewis 5-4, Dave Kingsbury 7-4, and finally our leader Adam Slater to hold on by just 23p to top spot with a 4-5 winner.

Topped by Jay Lewis and his 5-1 winner which didn't move him up the table surprisingly but certainly got him into the mix with the leaders.  The others were Tom Feeney 13-8, Pat Quinn Snr 4-1, Natasha Tizzano 2-1, again that's 4 winners from the past 7, and finally Danny Beaman 100-30.

They were Terry Matthews 11-4 to rise to 5th, Roger Dore 5-1 best of the day and enough to go 2nd and Pete Long 4-1 to move 10th

Yes only 3 winners but a we have a new leader who takes over from long time leader Kevin Roberts, Adam Slater's 11-1 winner took him nicely clear.  Roger Dore  9-2 winner was enough to take him 3rd, the other winner was Rod Brown at 11-4.

19jul15 Weekend's results

Not many winner but the only story in town was Carl Dean's 28-1 winner in the big handicap at Newbury on Saturday, which he followed up with a 4-9 winner Sunday to move from almost bottom to 7th.  The only other winner on Saturday was Helen Fahey 8-1 to move her 6th.

We did a bit better on Sunday with 7 winners, Ian Carpenter 2-1, Justin Sercombe 4-9, Martin Long, Natasha Tizzano, Paul Stobbart & Spenser Mills all on the same co-best of the day 7-2 winner.

Normal play now resumed after Lords trip!

That's my eldest not me!

Just 5 winners today 7-2 was best of the day for Jay Lewis which was just enough to take him 2nd overall, 100-30 for both Kevin Wood & Vince Paige, Gary Dighton 6-4,  & Roger Dore 15-8.

No update tomorrow will be delayed until Sunday as I'm away watching the England recovery at Lords and staying over, so don't panic!

Well played 650 for them 650 for us draw!

6 winners for us today Helen Fahey & me both 7-4, Chris Pascoe 4-5, Michael Brook 9-4, Paul Stobbart 2-1, and best of the day with just a 5-2 winner was Steve Carter.  Leader sat out again and that's 7 days in a row and no one has managed to make any progress everyone has fallen back leaving him now £7+ clear.

Topped today by Dave Klein's 10-1 winner to move him up to 5th.  Others were Adam Slater 2-1 to close up on the leader who has sat out for a few days, Gary Dighton & Richard Pascoe both 5-2, Natasha Tizzano 2-5, Roger Dore 6-1 to move 3rd and to threaten the top 2 and finally Vince Paige 8-13.

Looks like a few decided that a winner at any price would do to "stop the rot" so a fair few short priced winners Justin Sercombe, last comps plate winner, finally got off the mark with a 4-11 winner the same one as Jay Lewis, Maurice Edgington (me) 9-4, Steve Carter 2-5, & Carl Dean 4-6. Not for Ian Carpenter who moved up a fair few places with his 11-2 winner but still not good enough for the best of the day spot which went to Roger Dore to move 5th with a 10-1 winner

Well not really!  Best of the day was for Tommy smith at 7-1 which just about moved him onto the leader board.  Others were Tom Feeney 4-7, Paul Stobbart 4-1, Pat Quinn Snr 11-2,  Kevin Wood & Jay Lewis both 6-4, finally Helen Fahey brought up a double and moved into a cash paying position with a 3-1 winner.

Only 3 winners today looked like lots of fancied horses got turned over mine certainly ran like a dog after being backed into favourite! The winners were Paul Berg 9-4 and best of the day,  Kevin Roberts our leader 11-10 and Dave Klein 8-11.

Just 6 winners today Ian Carpenter went safe and picked the Eclipse winner at 4-9 but enough to put him in the top 20.  Pete Long continued his good streak and moved into the cash with a 3-1 winner and onto the plate leader board.  Best of the day was Andy Grinter who bought up a double and went onto the leader board for the first time with a 7-1 winner,  Jimmy McGarrity and Adam Slater both picking the same 5-1 winner that was enough to take Adam 1p ahead of Kevin Roberts in top spot both on 15 bets.

Well 10 to be precise the Pascoe clan were on the same 11-2 winner that's Gary, Richard & Gary Dighton so they were co-best of the day, Gary Kelly 7-4, Michael Brook 9-2, Matt Harrison 2-1, Martin Long 3-1, Mark Sharman 4-1, & Pat Quinn Snr 3-1, Paul Stobbart 2-1, made up the rest.

So these winners saw wholesale change at the bottom half of the leader board with almost a whole swap out of the old lot.

7 winners on Tuesday and the best for the second day running was Tommy Smith at 9-2 which takes him positive and just off the leader board.  Other winners were Helen Fahey 11-4, Gary Pascoe & Jay Lewis both 4-7, Kevin Roberts 8-15, Michael Brook 15-8 & Pat Quinn Snr 9-4 to move back exactly level.

In the plate Kevin's winner nudged him back second ahead of Terry Matthews.
