PROPOSED DATES FOR NEXT COMP

Vince tells me we already have 19 entrants paid and in for the next comp well done very keen!

Our thoughts for the next comp are ending at different venue Warwick for some evening "summer" jumps racing this would be Saturday 11th May not sure of the start time yet but probably 5pm or so at that time of the year.  This is Ladies Night so bring partners or dress up :-)

That puts us starting on Sunday 10th February 2019, and we will include the 3 big festivals of Cheltenham, Aintree & Punchestown

Will pick up the reminders and high intensity entrants drive at the end of January

Have a good and profitable Xmas & New Year

Maurice

Sunday 9 December 2018

The Sandown contingent all except Jo who had to leave sharpish, i think we did the champagne bar proud
Remarkably Pete wasn't wearing that Xmas jumper for a bet!
2nd place Mark Sharman graciously handing over the cup to Kevin Dighton on behalf of his brother Gary (well through gritted teeth)

FINAL DAY REPORT

Massive commiserations to Martin Long who in the last few days lost a good lead to two big winners and o rub salt into the wound also finished on the bubble in the plate, still, at least he collected cash!  Congratulations to Gary Dighton great total for the comp the 3rd highest in the history of 45 competitions and the two that have been higher were the two comps that had 100-1 winners in them so great stuff.  Steve Carter also picked the same 40-1 winner as Gary so he moved up from 42nd place to 5th on the last day.  Jason McConkey also got last day cash with his 10-1 winner taking him to 7th the other 3 winners were Steve Taylor 10-1, Stuart Bentham 8-13, and 2 points so just enough to pip Vince for 2nd place in the plate on winners countback.  We should also recognize the great winner performance from Stuart 36 winners (59.0%) and only 4 selection that didn't make the frame! and finally Nobby Camunzuli 15-2 but not enough.

Great comp this time - we are working on timing for the next one but it definitely won;t start until February 2019.

Pictures of the team at Sandown will be put up later

08dec18 FINAL DAY

A full detailed update will appear here later this morning but headlines on a day of high drama were the two players who grabbed the 40-1 winner in the opener and farsical race at Aintree one of those was Gary Dighton so he smashed his way into an unassailable lead and won

Saturday 8 December 2018

07dec18 ONE TO GO

Best of the day was me!! 16-1 to move me just a few pence off the cash positions in a very tightly congested part of the table with just over £3 covering all the places from 10th to 19th.  The other 3 winners were Will Parker 11-2 to move into 11th, Tom McGarrity 12-1 to give himself a chance of cash and finally, Jason McConkey also 11-2 to go into 19th spot on +£1.25

Thursday 6 December 2018

06dec18 THREE

So, 3 winners, today best was Andy Pitter 16-1 he is now 17th on 79p down.  Most significant at least in terms of the leaderboard was Robert Logan at 6-1 to move into the last cash position in 10th relegating Stuart to the bubble.  Finally, Stuart Bentham who's certainly won his 100.00 prize so now just playing to catch Vince in second, go Stuart go!!

05nov18 NO WINNERS

So nothing to update (sorry out last night) full update tonight

Tuesday 4 December 2018

04dec18 ONE SOLITARY WINNER

Well done Helen Fahey for preventing another blank day with her 15-8 winner that puts her on the bubble.

Another update sent tonight with 4 days to go

Monday 3 December 2018

03dec18 MASSIVE TOP OF THE TABLE WINNER

9 winners but no doubt of the most significant and that was the 20-1 winner for Mark Sharman who was £10 behind Martin in second and now sits £10 clear ita tough ask for Martin now he only has 2 bets to go.  The others were top by Adrian Hunt & Will Parker who both picked up a 10-1 winner enough to take Will to  +£1.54 and 16th place.  Andy Pitter & Martin Long 6-5, Chris Pascoe best of the day and off the mark with a 25-1 winner, Nigel Clifford 11-1, Stuart Bentham 1-7 & Steve Taylor were the rest.

Sunday 2 December 2018

02dec18 LAST SUNDAY UPDATE

6 winners best of the day and off the mark for Tom Feeney 20-1, two more of those for cash! 2 players nabbed a nice 16-1 winner Andy Pitter & Stan Moore to move Stan into the money in 7th place.  Stuart Bentham 4-6, Andy Stevens 100-30 & Gary Dighton 6-5 were the others.

Congratulations to Robert Logan who now can't be caught in the plate and is the winner unseating Vince who has won it for the past two comps and 12 times in all.

Saturday 1 December 2018

01dec18 JUST 3

Stand out winners were joint best of the day for both Mark Lowry & Colin Warmington at 12-1 but they were both well back so in fact no changes at all in the leaderboard, the other winner was, of course, Stuart Bentham 4-6.

30nov18 BIG WINNERS

Sorry for late update but naps right through to the 9.00 last night

Big news and best of the day for Mark Nutting 20-1 that pushes him up to 4th and right in the mix at the top of the leaderboard.  Jimmy McGarrity and I both picked up a 14-1 winner not enough for me but for Jimmy it moves him into 10th the last cash paying spot.  Four other winners they were Ernie Moore a consolidating 2-1 winner, Martin Long & Mark Sharman both the same 11-4 winner to move those 2 clear of the chasing field & finally Chris Martin 4-1 to move up a spot to 6th
