Just two winners Nobby Camunzuli best of the day at 6-1 but of more significance was Mark Nutting's 6-4 winner to move him 2nd and just £1.86 behind the leader - all to play for tomorrow

Yes, a 33-1 winner today which took Jamie Hill from the lower reaches to 8th and in the last cash paying spot.  Vince and Robert both scored 10 points with their even money winner which means that Vince just needs 3 points from his last two bets to be certain of regaining his plate title.   Carol Carter moved up to 11th and close to cash with her 7-2 winner & Jason McConkey also picked up a 7-2 winner.

07may19 NEW LEADER

6 winners today and most of them with significance on the leader board, of course, the main one was Mark Nutting's 12-1 to go £1.27 in the lead.  Best of the day wasn't that but the 16-1 winner for Dave Klein that brought him back onto the leader board in 12th and back in the mix.  Chris Pascoe moved up to 4th with his 9-2 winner and I chased him up the list with a 4-1 winner to go 6th.  Finally, there was mark Sharman at 9-2 to go 20th at -£1.62 and Ian Carpenter 6-5 in a 4 horse race to edge nearer to Andy in 2nd now on 28p off. 

06may19 B HOL WINNERS

6 winners today 2-9 for Ian Carpenter who continues his well thought out wind out of the extra bets to reduce Andy's lead to just £1.48 and also for Stuart Bentham who achieved his target of 40 winners.  Vince Paige & Robert Logan picked the same horse which won at 5-4 and 10 points and that might be enough to see Vince home 8 clear and a bet in hand.  Alan Sparks 11-8 and best of the day just for me at a lowly 6-4, clawing my way up the leader board and still not out of it which is a comment that applies to the whole list!

05may19 SUNDAY'S RESULTS

Before the results, this is a very competitive and close comp this time I just looked back and in the modern era, so say the last 30 competitions since 2006, there have only been 2 winners with totals below that of Andy Stevens' current mark of £26.25 and the average across those comps has been just over £45 which implies this comp is here for the taking with the top 20 all with £30 and the top 10 all within £20.  Easier said than done of course!

Back to today just 5 winners and a nice best of the day for Tommy Smith at 14-1, but he needed it and a couple more!  Vince popped in what looks like a pretty decisive 10 point winner at 5-6 to retake the lead in the plate  Richard Pascoe 5-4 to move ahead of his brother into 4th Ian Carpenter 2-7 and he unwinds his bets in hand on the leader and finally me 9-4 to consolidate my position in the final cash spot. 

Looks like I can't make the final day at Windsor I'm having to chair a governors meeting at the school - sorry

Just a measly 4 winners and two of them were 2-5 for Ian Carpenter & Stuart Bentham, Kevin Wood went back positive and to the foot of the leader board with a 6-1 winner but not enough for best of the day which was Adrian Hunt at 14-1.

Best of the day was a very nice 16-1 winner for Nick Griffin and I think it would be fair to say he needed that!.  8 other winners Ben Cheetham & Helen Fahey both had a nice 9-1 winner to put Ben back on the leader board.  The others were me again and 13-8 again, Michael Brook 5-1, Mark Nutting 5-2, Nobby Camunzuli 4-1, and the plate boys Robert & Vince both 11-10.
