28FEB17 Giant Winner!

40-1 winner for Dave Klein today (restricted to just 33-1 see rule #25) but enough to catapult him up into the top 3.  Ten winners overall three plate boys on the 30-100 winner, Vince, Robert & Justin, Darren Mills 11-4, Gary Dighton 3-1, Martin Long 1-3, Natasha Tizzano & Tim Catlin both 11-2, Paul Stobbart 7-4 to nudge up a place or two,

Monday 27 February 2017

27feb17 Ordinary day

7 winners 4 of them the plate boys on the 1-3 5 point winner, they were Vince, Justin, Barry & Robert.  The best of the day was Steve Carter 8-1 which was enough to get him onto the bottom of the leader board, Paul Stobbart 7-4 and finally Ray Harper & Annette Berg both at 5-2.

Sunday 26 February 2017

26feb17 Only 6

Another poor day really for winners only 6 and 4 of them were the same horse at 4-1 they were me, Carl Deal (another good day for him gaining 5 on the leader), Michael Brook & Helen Fahey.  Best of the day was Mark Sharman 11-2 and the only other one was Mark Kelly at 9-4.

Saturday 25 February 2017

25feb17 double

9 winners Friday and just 4 on Saturday they were Carl Dean 9-2 to close the gap at the top, Mark Kelly 4-1, a very nice best of the day for Nobby Camunzuli at 10-1 that also brought up a double, & Vince Paige 11-8 who did his chances a power of good picking up a 10 pointer while most around him either failed or picked up a 5 point 2nd, Stuart is now back in his sights 8 bets in hand for 32 points.

Thursday 23 February 2017

23feb17 Ranieri goes

Wow what a decision clearly no word for loyalty in Thailand!

7 winners today again Ben Cheetham, Spenser Mills & Frank Farley all 5-6, Matt Weekes 3-1, Rod Brown 11-8, Sarah Parker best of the day at 100-30 & finally Terry Matthews at 5-4.

Very few bets today because of Huntingdon and the cock-up at Chelmsford in the 3-30 only player in the plate was Andy Pitter and he didn't trouble the scorers.

Wednesday 22 February 2017

22feb17 Giant Winner

Only one story today that was the 22-1 to Paul Mott to zoom him up to 10th spot.  6 other winners Paul Stobbart 7-2, Pete Long 5-1, Rod Brown & Kevin Wood both 5-4, Spenser Mills 8-13, & finally Dave Klein 4-1.

Tuesday 21 February 2017

20feb17 Thistlebummer!

I could have done that headline the other was round couldn't I :-)

Really disappointing with Thistlecrack gone and not as Cornelius Lysaght just described on 5 Live still a tremendous race! What with him missing and no Coneygree either of course its massively devalued.

For us today firstly the same 3 platers as yesterday all on the same 4-11 5 point winner from a total of 9 winners on the day.  Topped by Jake Fifield 8-1 to move 17th and on the bubble, Kieron Badger Lee constable both at 10-11, Rod Brown & Richard Pascoe both 7-2 and Tommy smith 5-2 were the remainder.

Monday 20 February 2017

20feb17 nice winners

Lots of new entrants onto the leader board today after some nice winners topped by Frank Farley at 12-1 to move 9th.  There were 10 in total Annette Berg 5-1 consolidating nicely in the top 10, Dan Mason 8-1 to move positive and sit in 23rd, Kevin Roberts 7-1 to take over from me in 11th, and Lee Constable 10-1 to zoom up to 3rd.  In the more ordinary category were the other 5 they were Paul Stobbart 9-4, Roger Dore 7-2, and the plate boys Vince, Barry & Justin all 5 points and 8-15.

Sunday 19 February 2017

19feb17 Go on Sutton

Then we can get a non league side in the semis!

8 winners for us today Stuart Bentham had a good day the only 5 pointer in the plate at 4-6 and is now on the bubble in the main comp.  Andy Pitter 30-100, Craig Connelly & Ernie Moore both 7-2, Carl Dean a nice 9-2 winner to close in a little on the leader, Jason McConkey & Kevin Wood both 5-2, and finally Kieron Badger 3-1.

18feb17 slow

Just 6 winners on a Saturday which is a poor showing, joint top of the tree was Terry Matthews and me with the same 6-1 winner enough to push us both onto the leader board.  The other 4 were the plate boys, or at least some of them, that is Vince, Stuart & Justin all with a 10 point 11-10 winner and the only other person to trouble the scorer was our leader extending is commanding lead again with a 2-1 winner.

Saturday 18 February 2017

17feb17 one month to go

8 winners for us on Friday - couldn't wait all night for them to sort out the mess at Wolverhampton last night!

Spenser popped in a 7-2 winner to move back over £50 up even if he has losers all the way in (unlikely) he would still be over £20 up now so a massive target.  Others were Lee Constable & Tim Catlin also 7-2, Annette Berg & Kevin Wood both evens, best of the day for Mark Sharman at 8-1 enough to take him positive for the first time this comp.  Andy Pitter 6-1 brought up a treble and sits strong in both comps as we approach the half way stage, and finally Dave Brammer 15-8.

Thursday 16 February 2017

16feb17 dirty dozen

So same old same old 6 plate boys all on the same 1-4 5 pointer, loads of non runners :-), so they were Stuart, Robert, Vince, Barry, Andy, Justin.  Leaving 6 others best was  Kieron Badger who got off the mark with a 9-1 winner others were me 9-2, Gerry McCann & Tim Catlin both 11-4, Lee Constable 4-6, Paul Stobbart 9-4 that's his 9th winner in the last 14 and he now sits 11th nice run,

Wednesday 15 February 2017

15feb17 surely that's the end

Arsene I mean 4-1 down he must be finished now

7 winners for us 4 of them the same 1-10 winner for the plate boys, namely Stuart, Barry, Robert & Justin, the other winners were Jake Fifield 2-1, Jimmy McGarrity 11-4 in a race his practise sponsored at Towcester!  Martin Long best of the day 9-2.

Tuesday 14 February 2017

13/14feb17 Double day

5 winners on Monday on a very low turnout day they were Dave Brammer 8-15, Jason McConkey a nice best of the day 12-1, Paul Stobbart 13-8, Ray Harper 3-1, & Richard Pascoe 8-15.

Tuesday 15 winners with Rod Brown at 18-1 the standout

Sunday 12 February 2017

12feb17 sort it out tomorrow

Tomorrow is the last day to genuinely demonstrate that you didn't forget your Valentine - you have been warned :-).

Sorry to Kevin Roberts missed his winner from Saturday, always forget to check WhatsApp so that nudged him onto the leader board.

Today we had 11 winners and the outstanding best of the day was Roger Dore at 12-1 only his 4th winner but just enough to put him positive after 25 bets and in 24th spot.  Terry Matthews and Stuart Bentham picked up a 2-5 winner each, Ray Harper and Frank Farley both picked up a 10-11 winner each, Carl Dean and Rod Brown also both picked up an 11-4 winner taking Carl a little closer in 2nd.  Three players managed to pick the winner of what looked like a very difficult Gold Cup in Sizing John at 100-30, they were Dave Klein, Mark Sharman & Paul Stobbart, finally Helen Fahey added 6p to her total with a 1-16 winner!

11feb17 England just again!

Very exciting game though and great result

12 winners for us Saturday and so just picking out the best which was a very nice 14-1 winner for Tom Feeney whihc moved him to one place off the leader board on +3.00

Friday 10 February 2017

10feb17 just what we didn't need!

Spenser, the roar away leader, breaks through the £50 barrier to move miles clear after a best of the day 10-1 winner.  11 other winners so another good day again so starting with Stan Moore got off the mark with a 6-1 winner, Tommy Smith moved onto the leader board with a 5-1 winner, 4 players all picked the same 2-1 winner they were Ben Cheetham, Carl Dean, Jake Fifield & Kevin Roberts.  Frank Farley evens, Justin Sercombe & Michael Brook 10-11, & Kevin Wood 7-4, Dave Klein 4-1, were the remaining 4 winners.

Thursday 9 February 2017

09feb17 and again

11 winners today a quick list, Andy Grinter & Joanne Hutson both 4-1, Andy Pitter & Robert Logan both 11-10, Barry Pemble 4-9, Ernie Moore 9-4, Gary Dighton & Gerry McCann joint best of the day at 5-1,  Rod Brown 11-8, Vince Paige & Stuart Bentham 2-7.

Wednesday 8 February 2017

08feb17 another load

12 winners today Carl Dean picked up a 9-2 winner to claim joint best of the day and close in on the leader.  Stuart Bentham, Barry Pemble, Ian Carpenter & Robert Logan all picked the same 1-4 winner and 5 points.  Chris Pascoe 2-5, Gary Dighton 7-2, Justin Sercombe & Kevin Roberts 4-7, Kevin Wood 7-4.  Top Boy by name and nature for Lee Constable as that horse went in at 3-1 and he went 3 for 3 maintaining his 100% record and now sitting 6th, and finally, and by no means least, was Steve Carter with joint best of the day 9-2 to move up into the cash in 9th.

A bit more of a challenge for the plate boys tomorrow with 4, 10 point races on offer should prevent them all picking the same horse like they usually do!

Tuesday 7 February 2017

07feb17 loads

A very nice day 14 winners on what seemed like a real low quality affair today.

So here goes, Andy Grinter Kevin Roberts & Dave Klein all 5-2, Andy Stevens off the mark with a 4-1 winner, Ian Carpenter & Tom McGarrity both 15-8, Kevin Wood 11-4, Lee Constable 2 from 2 with a nice 11-2 winner and 8th spot.  Nobby Camunzuli 85-40, Paul Stobbart 4-6, Rod Brown 9-4, with the plate trio Robert Logan, Vince Paige & Stuart Bentham all 1-4.

Monday 6 February 2017

06feb17 WTF happened

How can you lose from 28-3 up with most of Q3 gone, I had to stay up to 4am just to see them get beaten!

AMENDED However, a quiet day for us just 29 bets and 6 winners, Annette Berg was best of the day with a fine 9-1 winner that's 4 from the last 5 and sufficient to move her 3rd nice purple patch.  Brian Hammon got of the mark with a 100-30 winner, Mark Nutting 6-4, Kevin Roberts 6-1, Paul Stobbart 4-1 to scrape onto the leader board and finally a 4-7 winner for Stuart Bentham the only player in the top 8 of the plate to play extending his lead to 25 points.

Forgot to send the excel last night so going to do it now!

Sunday 5 February 2017

05feb17 A lot of changes

Despite only 8 winners and nothing all that special there seemed to be a lot of new faces on the leader board after today.  Joint best of the day was for me and Ernie Moore with a nice 11-2 winner that took me back positive and Ernie into a cash paying spot (9th).   Andy Grinter & Michael Brook both had a 7-4 winner, Frank Farley 5-1 to also move positive, Paul Stobbart 6-4, Tom McGarrity 4-9, & Vince Paige 4-7 were the other winners.

Everyone has now paid and played so we are confirmed at 66 runners so first prize lifted to £1,200 and a few other smaller changes to the minor places.  Check out the details on the excel which will be put later tonight.

Go Atlanta

04feb17 Saturday's update

Messy but we got the result - not the best game I've ever seen for my first trip to Twickers since they rebuilt it!

7 winners for us as all the plate boys went for the same horse that got turned over so they all only picked up 2 points.   Anyway the winners were Andy Pitter & Spenser Mills 1-2, Cathy Holding who got off the mark with an 11-4 winner, Gerry McCann & Dave Klein both 9-4, Lee constable 1st bet and 1st winner at 9-2, but already close to dormy he only has 2 spare bets left!  Best of the day went to Steve Carter 10-1 and enough to get him to the leader board.

Friday 3 February 2017

03feb17 ENGLAND

Sorry no update Saturday I'm going to Twickers for England v France :-)

Friday saw another good total 10 winners, Annette Berg & Sarah Parker both picked Hot Stuff (no comment) at 5-1 for the joint best of the day which saw Annette move 8th and got Sarah off the mark.  Andy Grinter 5-6, Jason McConkey & Paul Stobbart both 4-1, Mark Nutting & our leader, Spenser Mills both 6-5, Matt Weekes & Tommy Smith both 9-2 and finally Robert Logan sneaked in a 5 pointer at 6-4 he was the only player in the top 7 of the plate to score the others sat out.

02feb17 double update

27 winners across the 2 days - well done!  so guess what I'm not listing those out even if it wasn't already after midnight!

Highlights were Andy Grinter 9-1, Carl Dean & Mark Nutting both 7-1, Matt Weekes 8-1, Roger Dore & Tom Feeney both 15-2, & Paul Stobbart 6-1.
