Just 3 winners today our leader Martin Long played a smart hand and went for a decent 7-4 favourite on the come and catch me if you can basis - could he be the first ever 4 time winner?  The other two were best of the day Helen Fahey 11-4 and perhaps, of course, Stuart Bentham 4-11 after a few days sat out, that was his 50th runner that has finished in the frame from just 54 bets

Best was Carl Dean 7-1 but he needs a few more of those to feature, Andy Grinter picked up a few spots on the leaderboard with his 6-1 winner,  Jamie Hill consolidated with a 5-4 winner, Michael Brook 13-2 and Paul Moulton 4-5 were the final pair.

Getting ready for the Scotland v Argentina game at Murrayfield today.  So a late report on yesterday because of so many evening runners, a total of 9 winners topped out by a second 20-1 winner of the week for Tommy Smith to move him to the middle of the leaderboard.  Plenty of others they were,  Annette Berg 7-1, Darren Mills 5-2, Jamie Hill & Robert Logan both evens, Mark Sharman 4-6, Kevin Roberts 9-1 & Stan Moore 12-1 to see both of them move to the foot of the leaderboard and finally Will Parker 9-4.

Just 5 winners today stand out was Steve Taylor live from Hexham at 12-1, Mark Nutting 13-2 who moved up to 4th, the others were Gary Dighton 10-11, Jamie Hill 5-4, & Tom McGarrity also 10-11.

Interestingly in the plate where it sort of looks all over if Robert Logan just secures 2 points a race all the way in then Vince has to hit 11 x 5 point winners to draw level - then he would lose on 2nd place countback! which would be interesting to comment on at Sandown :-)

Martin Long previously sitting 3rd and a fair way back smashes in a 20-1 winner to zoom top and having played 3 more bets that looks a strong position.  8 other winners and they were  Colin Warmington & Gary Dighton both 13-2, Dave Brammer 4-1, Robert Logan 4-6, Ernie Moore 3-1 to move up a spot, Kevin Dighton off the mark at last at 11-8, Stuart Bentham 30-100, & finally Will Parker 11-10.

Must have been a difficult one today or are we just all looking for long shots!  So just 3 winners best of the day and off the nark with a bang for Gary Pascoe and the 20-1 winner Nietzsche other were Pete Long 6-1 to go 8th, Paul Moulton 4-1 to go 6th.

The rule for maximum odds of 33-1 now no longer applies as we all only have 20 bets or less left, all you need to do is find such a winner :-)

17nov18 WELL DONE

The 3 players who all picked Baron Alco in the Gold Cup today they were Andy Stevens, Michael Brook and our now run away leader Mark Sharman nearly £10 clear with only 13 bets to go.  The other 4 winners were a nice best of the day for Tommy Smith at 20-1 that takes him to just £4.25 down so in touch, Robert Logan 5-6 and 5 points to move away from Vince at the top of the plate could Vince be beaten? Final pair were Jason McConkey 9-1 to reach the foot of the leaderboard & Stuart Bentham 1-5 to bring up his 29th winner which is a bigger total on his own than the bottom 19 players together!

Position before Dave Klein's late bet is 5 winners topped by Darren Mills following up his opener with a 9-2 winner today, also Andy Grinter joint top 9-2 to go 7th, Ernie Moore 2-1, Roger Dore 9-4 & Ray Harper 4-1. 

15nov18 WOW WHAT A DAY

16 winners our best ever for this comp star of the day 40-1 for Jo Hutson unfortunately as she has had less than 41 bets the maximum applies so that is restricted to just 33-1 but that takes her to -25p and back in the game.  A comment that also applies to Darren Mills bottom of the main comp and the plate and he gets off the mark with a 33-1 shot nice hit.  Other decent winners were Andy Pitter 9-2, Paul Moulton 100-300 to go 7th, Roger Dore finally getting into his stride after 26 bets in a row at the start without a winner now 4 from the last 11 this time 13-2.

But not for Ann Mills who makes an appearance in 10th on the leaderboard after a cracking 16-1 winner.  There were just 4 other winners they were Mary Lowry 2-1, Roger Dore 11-4, Stuart Bentham 2-5, and Tom McGarrity 9-2.

Well, that made the update easier at Chelmsford!  3 people all had the same 25-1 winner to move them all onto the leaderboard they were Pete Long, Stan Moore & Kevin Roberts others were Annette Berg 4-1, Gary Dighton 5-2, and a nice winner for Helen Fahey at 7-1 who moves up to 9th.

Although we did manage 7 winners, the top two in the plate slugging it out both with the same 9-4, 10 pointer, best of the day for Will Parker at 7-2 to sneak onto the foot of the leaderboard mainly because I extended it! The remaining 4 were Pete Long & Ernie Moore both 5-2, Mark Lowry 8-15 & Ben Cheetham 7-4.

14 winners again today so here goes 3 all got the 8-13, 10 pointer and no guesses for which three Stuart Bentham, Robert Logan & Vince Paige.  Annette Berg & Andy Stevens both 5-1, Chris Martin 9-1 best of the day and good enough to go 3rd.  The leader kept up his fine form with a 6-4 winner, & Jamie Hill got the tactics right after his long-shot put him back in the game with a nice 11-4 winner to consolidate near the top.  The final 6 were Jason McConkey & Jimmy McGarrity both 11-2, Michael Brook 5-2, Martin Long evens in the 2 horse race! Paul Moulton & Rod Brown both 2-1.

I'm away in London at the Lord Mayor's show tomorrow so unlikely that I'll be able to do an update tomorrow - mainly because I'm not taking my laptop with me!!

Yep, the biggest winner of the comp 33-1 for Jamie Hill, to zoom up from the depths to 4th won by a short head!!  In total 6 winners and the other 5 were topped by a nice 10-1 winner for Adrian Hunt, also on the scoresheet, today was Ben Cheetham 15-8, Ernie Moore 100-30, Steve Taylor 6-1, and finally Stuart McLeod 9-4 to recapture 2nd spot.
