30nov21 A LONE WINNER

Rod Brown the only one to score today and that was only 10-11 so absolutely no movement whatsoever on either leader board - nice easy update!

Monday 29 November 2021

29nov21 REALLY SLOW DAY

Only 15 bets today but 4 winners, best of the day was Paul Stobbart 17-2 but of most significance was the nice 9-2 winner for the leader who now has opened a nice lead over the field.  The other 2 were Tom McGarrity 10-11, Ben Cheetham 5-2.

Sunday 28 November 2021

28nov21 TOUGH DAY

The Long family were the only players to get a winner today Martin 10-1 to go 9th and Pete 7-2 to go 11th.

Update on its way

Saturday 27 November 2021

27nov21 WE ALL MISSED

10 naps today in the Ladbroke Trophy and none of us hit the 33-1 winner, 5 did mange to score Roger Dore closed up in second after a 7-2 winner Stuart & Vince both napped the same horse again but non -runners meant only 5 points for the 2-7 winner,  Kevin Wood best of the day at 5-1 and Martin Long 5-2 were the others

26nov21 BETCHA BY GOLLY

Late again! I was out at a surprise concert, clue is in the title:-)

Back to the comp 5 winners Stuart brought up an impressive 7 timer with a 1-3 winner Jason McConkey & Jimmy McGarrity 2-1 on the impressive Fanion, Martin Long 11-4 & Rob Brown 2-1 were the other winners.

We have two players now dormy Gerry McCann & David Geddes Gerry had the first forced loser yesterday.

25nov21 YESTERDAY

Firstly a correction from Monday Dave Brammer missed his 9-2 winner - apologies

So Thursday saw 6 winners from 26 bets Vince 5-4 and 10 points gained 5 on Stuart who also had a 1-5 winner but only a 5 pointer.  Helen Fahey had the same winner as Stuart and so that leaves Paul Berg to reappear on the leader board after his 15-2 selection came home, Steve Taylor 11-2 & Gary Dighton off the mark with a 4-1 shot.

Thursday 25 November 2021

24nov21 LATE

A bit late sorry 5 winners best was Spenser Mills 12-1 to leap up to 7th others were Stuart Bentham 1-8 to gather another 5 points in the plate, Tommy Smith 9-4 to extend his lead at the top,  Ben Cheetham 2-1, Jason McConkey 6-5.

Tuesday 23 November 2021

23nov21 TWO NEW FACES

On the leader board today and really only one story in town that is Kevin Dighton's inspired/lucky selection of a 33-1 winner today at Punchestown that zoomed him up from 40th out of 41 to 4th, lets hope that's the last of those this comp.  The other person making an appearance for the first time this comp is Richard Pascoe after his 9-2 winner he goes 9th which if you are reading this you can of course see!  That just leaves the saddos in the plate who both had the same 2-7 winner and 10 points.

Monday 22 November 2021

22nov21 COLD

22 players today and a very healthy 8 winners the best was Pete Long 17-2 to go to the foot of the leader board, Gary Pascoe 15-8, Helen Fahey slowly creeping up the table 10-11, Kevin Wood 2-1, Stuart & Vince both 4-9, Tom McGarrity 11-8 and Mark Nutting a tactical consolidating 1-3 that worked as the leader fell back by £1 so a £1.33 swing.

DORMY WARNING

Remember there is no racing for 3 days at Xmas so you will get 3 days of no bets that means we have David Geddes & Gerry McCann effectively already dormy and will get a certain forced loser at Xmas (or before).

Gary Dighton has effectively only got 1 spare day left and Chris Pascoe just 2 left (both after today)

Most others have 10+ left even allowing for Xmas

Happy Betting

Sunday 21 November 2021

21nov21 A NEW LEADER

Only 2 winners today Tommy Smith 4-1 to go top and Paul Berg 13-2 to make it back to the leader board in 9th spot.  I brought up my 5th consecutive 2nd placed horse which with 5 points was enough to drag me back to the foot of the plate leader board.

Saturday 20 November 2021

20nov21 NICE DAY RACING

Some quality stuff on offer today 26 players with 7 winners.  Helen Fahey & Tom McGarrity both picked the new 2022 Gold Cup favourite that recorded a generous 11-10 price.  Best bet of the day was of course Andy Stevens 16-1 in Haydock's stayers hurdle that whips him up to 5th.  Most significannt was Mark Nutting 8-1 to go top, Pete Long 7-4, Vince & Stuart 1-3 10 pointers, we can just leave those two slugging it out at the top of the plate!

Friday 19 November 2021

19nov21 NEW LEADER

Roger Dore, defending champion, picks a very healthy 13-2 winner to sneak into the lead.  He was one of only  winners today and all the others had the same winner that was 5-6 and they were Sonya Paige, tom McGarrity & Stuart Bentham who goes 7 point clear at the top of the plate but Vince has 3 bets ib hand so probably still leads.

Let's hope for some better fare tomorrow! - only had one bet all week

Thursday 18 November 2021

18nov21 SLOW STUFF

Just 3 winners today they were Tom McGarrity, Sonya Paige & Colin Warmington.  Stuarts 5 point 2nd was enough to take him top in the plate

Wednesday 17 November 2021

17nov21 WHAT NO FOOTBALL AGAIN!

27 bets today but just 5 winners Chris Martin sat out and that was enough to take him back top after Tommy Smith's loser.  Those who did trouble the scorer were Andy Warmington, Jason McConkey, Mark Nutting, Roger Dore (those two scrapping it out for 3rd spot currently) & Paul Berg.

Tuesday 16 November 2021

16nov21 10-0 WHAT A FARCE OF A GAME!

Slow day just 16 players but 4 winners they were firstly a new leader as Tommy Smith got a 4-1 winner to edge 75p ahead at the top.  Stuart Bentham 1-2, closed in on Vince in the plate, Colin Warmington 11-8, nudged up a place or two at the foot of the leader board & finally best of the day went to Martin Long at 6-1 but still not enough to surface at the top.

Rubbish fare this week hard to find anything to peak my interest

Monday 15 November 2021

15nov21 NEARLY 50% WIN RATE

17 bets 8 winners and some nice prices, Spenser Mills 8-1, Andy Stevens & Tommy Smith both 17-2, Andy Warmington, Chris Martin, Gary Pascoe & Tommy Smith all 9-4 and finally Ross Harvey 7-2.
A fine effort on a low quality day but prize money doesn't count!

Sunday 14 November 2021

14nov21 THREE IN A ROW!

Long time since I have been to three days in a row another good day's racing if small fields, that didn't make it any easier for me or in fact most of us to find a winner there were only 3!  Chris Martin 11-4 Jimmy McGarrity 3-1 and Dave Klein 6-4.

Excel already sent

Saturday 13 November 2021

13nov21 LOVELY DAY FOR NH RACING

Brilliant weather, atmos & racing at Chelters today the classic day for NH racing fan and a good crowd on course.  Three players managed to pick the PP gold cup winner they were Richard & Gary Pascoe and finally after loads of near misses Steve Taylor off the mark.  The other winners were Pete Long 9-4 and Helen Fahey 2-5 to stay on the leader board.

Thursday 11 November 2021

11nov21 REMEMBER

24  bets and 7 winners today nothing all that dramatic so not much movement on the leader boards.  Winners were, Dave Brammer, Frank Tubman (off the mark), Gary Pascoe, Mark Lowry, Mark Sharman, Roger Dore & Stuart Bentham.

Off to Chelters tomorrow if anyone is around expect we can be found before racing in the Quevaga bar!

Wednesday 10 November 2021

10nov21 BACK ON THE CASE

22 bets today just two winners different horses but both 4-1.  Sonya Paige & Mark Nutting who brought up a 4 timers and moved in on the leader.  In the plate no-one in the top 6 scored a point, but not all had a bet.

09nov21 LATE AGAIN!

10 winners from 23 bets good day

Monday 8 November 2021

08nov21 FIRST MASSIVE WINNER

Chris Martin zooms up from joint bottom to 1st place on the leader board with a 28-1 winner today - great stuff.  On what was a very slow day only 17 bets there were another 3 winners they were Mark Nutting & Roger Dore both 11-2, & Robert Dudley off the mark with a 100-30 winner.

Not sure what happened yesterday on the email thought i sent it but appears it didn't leave me until this morning - glad so many are on tenterhooks waiting for it :-)

Sunday 7 November 2021

07nov21 DOUBLE UPDATE

Hi, sorry for the missed Saturday update I was away for the day/night in Oxford.  As you can see from the tables nothing too dramatic across the weekend lots of winners at the top of the plate and Colin Warmington still moving up now clear 3rd.

Excel on its way shortly

Friday 5 November 2021

05nov21 BOOM

Nothing to write home about today and very little movement on the leader boards other than Colin Warmington whose 100-30 winner took him to 3rd, best of the day was 7-1 for Mark Sharman which took him exactly back to level, Vince , Stuart Bentham Vince Paige, and Roger Dore were the other winners

Thursday 4 November 2021

04nov21 SPARKLERS ALL READY!

Just 3 winners today Colin Warmington 9-2 to move back onto the leader board in joint 6th, Dave Brammer 4-1 to move 3rd and Mark Lowry 11-10 to move back positive on 39p.  Not much more to say on a day with pretty plain fare.

Wednesday 3 November 2021

03nov21 A COUPLE OF NICE ONES

Mark Nutting topped the bill today and got off the mark with a 10-1 winner to go 3= another getting off the mark with a nice winner was Rod Brown 7-1 but that only took him level.  Normal service was resumed in the plate Vince picked up a 10 pointer to move clear at this early stage.  Other winners were Ian Carpenter 5-6 and Kevin Wood 7-4 to go 5th.

Who introduced David Geddes as he still hasn't had a bet yet but has paid, essentially not a problem even that it is a bit mean! Can some give him a nudge?

Tuesday 2 November 2021

02nov21 ORDINARY FARE

23 bets 5 winners 2 were Stuart Bentham & me at 2-13, Ian carpenter 8-13 and Jason McConkey off the mark with a 15-8 winner, that just leaves Paul Berg 9-2 to move 4th.  Stuart's winner meant he closed up on Vince as Vince's short priced big field runner came a cropper

Monday 1 November 2021

01nov21 65 TODAY

Yes officially made it to pensionable age although they have in fact moved it another year!  Very slow day after a few non runners only 12 bets, 2 winners Dave Brammer 100-30 to move 4th and Ben Cheetham had the best winner 4-1 to move joint 6th.

Booked my King George tickets for Boxing Day recently anyone going?
