27apr10 lee starts

Two days in one here

Monday - 32 bets only 3 winners, all short priced and it was the 3 leaders in the plate who all got a winner each, nothing else to say!

Star of Tuesday was Lee who bagged a 16-1 winner but it might be too little to late as that was only his 3rd winner and he is dormy, so tough to catch leader from -6.50 but at least he is mid table now (Leader is +25.45). Other winners were Gary C, Jamie P, and Steve.

24apr10 last gasp winner

So with the last bet of the day Dave Fifield hits his second winner in as many days but this time at 20-1, brill. Shoots him up from nearly bottom 2 days ago to +5.50 and in 11th place. Nose bleed teritory for Dave :-) 4 other winners including another good one for Geoff Dighton to follow up yesterday's 14-1 shot with an 11-1 winner today to go 6th 24p behind the first place that pays on + 9.25.

Also a bit of movement on the plate after Howard picked up a winner to go to 93 points and move from 3rd to 1st - 3 bets fewer than Kevin W and 3 points more.

23apr10 big winner alert

Well back to the standard 4 winners between us from 29 bets the prize one of which was Geoff D at 14-1 well done. Ricky also managed a nice 4-1 winner to go clear in 2nd place just 7.50 behind Pat, the leader, and Ricky has had 5 more bets. Pat had a no bets day.

Plate Ricky again the only mover near the top now 4th on 82 points but higher number of bets than all those above him count against

29 bets 7 winners first time for 12 days that we have managed to get more than 4 winners. Best winner was 15-2 for Jo H that saw her saw from 39th to 37th :-). I managed to clock a 3rd winner in a row to move to a positive position for the first time in this comp.

Bit of action in the plate 1st on 90 is Kevin W (from 43 bets), 2nd Justin 88 (39), 3rd Howard 88 (39).

21apr10 4 up again

Another 4 winner day from 27 bets 10-3, 9-2, 6-1, 9-2 for Gary D, Gary P, me and Jed respectively. So pushed Gary P well into contention for cash on +13.35 in 3rd place just 15.10 behind the leader.

Pat Q ended the short priced winner hunt and reverted to a 12-1 selection which fell.

20apr10 only two

27 bets and only two winners Ken Jones 5-1 amd Pat the leader at 1-5!!

Well I think that confirms what I thought yesterday and a radical change in tactics from the leader, odd on all the way and come and get me. so from Pat's POV then a good start he has gained a further 1.20 today on the chasing pack.

All quiet again on the plate front well leader score a single but so what :-)

Mark D hits the leader board moving to +12.00 and 4th place after hitting an 18-1 winner today at Ponty. Ricky also picked a winner to close the gap in 2nd place to 11.30.

Notieable new and changed tactic today from the leader Pat Q Jnr. - obviously fed up with nice priced losers he switched to odds on and hit a 2-9 winner. We will see if this is a one off or not. Gary P was the only other winner so that was 4 from 30 again.

Plate is almost becalmed with nothing to report.

excel will be sent out tonight - slow day 22 bets but 7 of those were forced losers!
4 winners including Jake Fifield with a cracking 16-1 winner to zoom to +16.00 and overall 3rd place - read em and weep Dave eh! Other winners were me 2-1, Big Al and Bert (same 11-4 winner).

So a decent week for the chasing pack as Pat, the leader, has recorded 6 straight losers this week and the 2nd place guys Ricky & Jake are both around 12.00 behind on +16.57 and 16.00 respectively.

The 9 on dormy are now Lee & George Constable, Andy Q, Pete, Kevin D, Dan B, Jed, Val & Martin B.

Plate - Kevin W has now moved to within 2 points of Howard in 2nd but has had 4 more bets

Vince stuck in CA and I can't leave to go to Atlanta so communications stay as is until further notice

17apr10 a bit better

30 bets and 4 winners but some good ones although mainly for guys off the pace. Namely Dave F 11-2 now -14.50 and Geoff D 14-1 now -11.75 Jed and Jamie were the other winners. Jamie was lifted to +4.88 and into 7th place which was the only top 10 action.

30 bets and only two winner despite loads of favourites obliging! Best was Tim with a 14-1 winner which only lifted him to 15th place. Ricky P was the only other sucess but at 7-1 that has lifted him into a clear 2nd place on +18.57 just 13.46 behind the leader - well not really just eh!

FYI in the last 3 days we have seen 90 bets but just 9 winners 10% hit rate and we are supposed to know what we are doing - can only say must try harder

28 bets 4 winners, nice little competitive bunch below the leader with 4 guys between +13.91 and +11.12 they are Justin, Howard, Ricky & Gary P. Howard hit a 7-1 shot today and Gary a 9-2 shot to both get into that mix.

Plate - Howard consolidates the lead now +7 points with 3 in hand.

Kevin D now dormy after his selection was a non-runner today.

11apr10 sunday update

21 bets only three winners so no major changes. Howard takes over at the top of the plate from Kevin W on 82, 2 ahead and with three bets in hand. Justin 3rd 8 off the leader 2 bets in hand.

Pat Q's overall lead trimmed a little as Justin had a winner so now only 20.12!

10apr10 grand day

33 bets and 7 winners 3 people picked that national winner (Gary C, Jamie P, and Mark D) and Gary P picked an 11-1 winner so some good progress in the group beow the two leaders.

Andy Quinn is now dormy and had his first forced loser.

09apr10 bad day

29 bets just 2 winners Steve backed at Kempton (what! he never goes to the flat for his nap - must have a tip and not told his mates) still a 5-1 winner, the best of the day. The only other winner was Dan P at 7-2 but as they were both off the pace no change at the top of either comp.

29 bets 5 winners - good day for Justin who's 5-2 winner moved him into 3rd in the plate and 2nd in the main comp on +15.91 and 20.12 behind the leader. Best winner was Dan P with a 7-1 shot which lifted him to just -3.00 although that is only 13th

A non-runner for Andy Quinn meant he is now dormy.

Only mug to select Imperial was me! - that's it no more races where things can fall over :-)

07apr10 busy day

busiest day of the comp so far with 30 bets (inc. the three losers for the guys who are dormy) with 5 winners 9-2 being the longest price (twice). So no major changes Mark Kelly moved into the cash in 5th on +9.08.

Small change at the top of the plate with Howard moving above Rod and to within 5 points of Kevin W with 3 bets in hand.

8 followers now not great but moving up lets get some more players looking at this - SPREAD THE WORD!

06apr10 update

25 bets 5 winners but only one story in town. Pat Quinn now 23.62 clear of 2nd who is now Justin after his winner yesterday. Gary P notches up 4 in a row to move into the top 10 on -0.38.

Two others deserve a mention in distaches Mark Kelly after a 7-1 winner moves into 7th on +4.58 and Ken Jones hit a 9-1 winner to go +9.30 and just into the money in 5th

Pat Quinn Junior just hit a 33-1 winner Lawgiver at Wetherby (3.20) as he was already +5.03 he now goes well clear of the field on +38.03.

Hi

18 bets and 8 winners today Ken Jones had the best at 6-1 to go > 0.00 in 9th place, the others were all reasonably short. So Justin stays top on +13.03 but Kevin W goes 2nd only 1.85 back and Ricky now 3rd only 2.46 back from the leader.

Plate stays as was both leaders had winners Kevin W and Rod 80 and 70 points respectively both from 32 bets Howard far from out of it also on 70 but with 3 bets in hand.

04apr10 quiet day

just 15 bets today but a healthy 5 winners best was Kevin W with 3-1 to consolidate his 3rd place and to go into a clear lead in the plate - 10 points clear of Rod in 2nd (level bets). Geoff Dighton got of the mark.

Martin & Val continue to have forced losers and Pete Long only has 1 spare day left and Lee only 2 left which are both very tight given there are 48 days to go!

Still they have all paid or are good for it so who cares :-)

Now I have taken over the admin I can do this without waiting for a file from Vince that never arrives!

Saturday 27 bets only 3 winners best was Alan Mabb with 12-1 shot that rocketed him from 19th to 6th place on +4.25 and just outside the money. Leader is Justin on +13.03 and 2nd Ricky on +10.57.

So all to still play for no-one has pulled away
