Just 12 bets and 2 forced losers today but two nice winners for Kevin W and Gary P (same horse 4-1). Gary clocks up a four timer and goes 2nd overall on +8.33 but still 13.17 behind Lee, Gary has placed 4 fewer bets.

Kevin's winner takes him clear in the plate as all the other didn't score

16 bets 4 winners the best of which was Rod with an 8-1 shot - other winners were Jed, Gary P and Kevin W

Hotting up in the plate with just 2 points separating the top 4 with Kevin W taking over on 60 points, Martin & Ian on 59 and Jed on 58

DORMY ALERT - Both Gary Elphick & Val had their first forced losers today (26/06) having gone dormy yesterday

Day 36 - 18 bets 3 winners Vince!! (3-1), Mark D who gets off the mark, and Gary P with the best of the day 9-2

Vince rockets up from 29th to 26th place 91p clear of three on -21.00 in joint 27th, Maurice, as usual brings up the rear in 30th on -24.37 but after 31 bets. So that's over half way through for me with just two winners to show for it :-(

20 bets 2 winners 2-1 Jed, 6-4 Dave F

Jed's 3rd winner on the bounce takes him to 3rd in the plate 6 points behind the leader 3 bets in hand

Overall no change at the top Lee is still 15.00 clear

Day 34 24/06/09

20 bets 4 winners, Val, Martin L, Ian C, & Gary P. longest price was 2-1 so no real movement in the overall standings, Lee remains on +23.50 and 15.00 clear. Martin has pulled 2 points clear in the plate but Ian C, now 2nd, has 4 bets in hand and is only 2 points adrift.

Day 33 23/06/09

Just 15 bets today and only one winner Jed 2-1 to go just -1.26 after 22 bets in 13th place overall and 5th in the plate only 4 points behind the joint leaders but with at least 2 in hand of them.

Day 32 22/06/09

16 bets 4 winners usual culprits in the odds on race for the plate. Best winner was Ricky with a 7-2 shot to take him to only -0.50 and in 9th place overall

Still tied at the top of the plate after Martin & Kevin W both had 3rds

Val will be dormy if she misses another 2 days and Gary Elphick the same if he misses 3 more. I suppose he is still recovering from his horse finishing 2nd in the Coventry!

Friday 22 bets 2 winners Ian C & Val - no real change
Saturday 19 bets 3 winners but two biggies Lee forged 16.00 clear on +26.50 after napping drill sargeant at Ascot but that was trumped by Big Al napping Art Connoisseur at 20-1 to go 4th on +7.16

Day 28 - Royal Ascot Ladies Day

Same as yesterday 24 bets and 3 winners Steve, Gary C and Jed. Seeing a bit of a break away at the top with Lee +13.50 (16 bets), Ian W +11.50 (16 bets), and Gary C joining them today in 3rd after his 5-1 winner on +10.35 but having had 5 more bets than 1st & 2nd. The 4th position is only +1.50 George C

Day 27 - Royal Ascot Day 2

largest betting day so far with 24 bets but only 3 winners Val, Steve & Kevin W. Kevin's 9-2 winner at Royal Ascot restored his 1st place in the plate and lifted him to 5th, just in the money overall.

Day 26 - Royal Ascot Day 1

22 bets and all at Royal Ascot, 3 had winners. Usual plate culprits Rod, Ian & Martin all picked Mastercraftsman at 5-6f. That win put Martin top of the plate on 47, 1 ahead of Kevin W and Martin has 4 bets in hand. The danger really is Rod only on 36 points but 5 bets in hand on Martin and 9 in hand on Kevin W

Lee pulled 1.00 clear by virtue of a no bet to lead on +14.50 (15 bets) with Ian W second +13.50 (14 bets)

Day 23 Missed Gary Pascoe's 15-8f winner I had it as 3rd! this lifts him to 5th and +2.13

Day 25 15/06/09

Well leaders are slugging it out Lee posted a 4-1 winner today to go to +14.50 and Ian Walters replied with a 11-2 shot to draw level on +14.50 as well. Both have 4 winners so in theory Ian is ahead by virtue of his one 2nd. Although he has had 13 bets to Lee's 15 - You can decide whether that puts Lee or Ian ahead. Total of 16 bets today with 5 winners (inc. the leader's 2) other winners were Gary Cawsey again! Martin Long and Rod. Gary has now had 7 winners in total and is 3rd overall and 2nd in the plate.

Day 24 14/06/09

14 bets and only 2 winners 4-11f (Rod) and Gary P with a 5-1 shot.

Kevin W starting to get a bit of a lead in the plate although Martin & Gary C in joint 2nd have a few bets in hand.

Overall leader still Lee on +11.50 (14 bets) only 1.50 clear of Ian W in 2nd (12 bets),

21 bets and only about 5 even got in the frame! one winner Ricky gets off the mark with a 11-2 winner.

22 bets 4 winners Gary Cawsey gets a three timer with a 4-1 winner the best of the day. He moves into 4th in the main comp and 3rd in the plate

another big 22 bet day 4 winners all odds on - a special mention for Vince who broke his duck with a 10-11 shot to remain in 30th and last place!

18 bets 4 winners the outstanding one was Ian Walters 12-1 winner tonight taking him +13.00 and into second only 2.50 behind Lee who has had 1 more bet that Ian.

Plate hotting up Kevin on 40 points Martin Long on 35 but with 2 bets in hand - Rod a dark horse here, 21 points behind but with 10 bets in hand on the leader - a new tactical approach we were told!

Day 16 Derby Day

22 bets just 3 winners Billy hits a 10-1 shot to go 3rd +6.56 and Mark West gets 2nd winner in row, Sea the Stars and goes 4th on +5.75, only other winner was Ian who clocked up 3 in a row with a sequence that reads, 2-5f, 2-5f, and 3-10f!

14 bets 2 winners Carpy 2-5f and Kevin Wood 5-1 that helps Woodster pull clear in the plate and move into 3rd only 6.02 behind the leader Lee who is +13.00

Busiest day so far with 20 bets, including the first one from new Mark, so just Val left to bet but as she has paid we are now a confirmed 30 runners. Prizes as shown on the excel sheet. Main comp pays to 5 places 900, 250, 100, 50, 50 and the plate just 1st & 2nd 100, 50.

Only 3 winners from the 20 bets - best was Dave Fifield with 7-1 to lift him to 5th just in the money at +3.00. Rod is now 2 from 2

Martin Long's 2nd winner in a row lifted him just above me into 2nd in the plate.

Day 11 01/06/09

19 bets today including 6 winners the best of which was Carpy with 9-1 Hansomis. That winner takes him 3rd at +6.10. Lee stays top despite another loser at +15.00 in between them in 2nd is Ken Jones on +9.80

One of the Marks dropped out today but rod had his first bet leaving just 2 to play Val and the other new boy Mark if they both confirm and we think they will we will be at 30.

In the plate Kevin Wood is top on 26 with me second on 22 but I have had the maximum 11 bets
