30aug13 Gareth just go!

Give us the cash no one is that good!

6 winners from 34 bets and one shinning star, 12-1, for Roger Dore to lift him from 15th to 3rd and right in the mix. Three picked the same 5-1 winner including Annette Berd Carl Dean & Colin Warmington who finally got of the mark, the final two winners were Justin Sercombe 3-13 and Steve Tyson 2-5.

In the plate that 2-5 winner for Justin Sercombe and the 5 points was sufficient to take him top above Vince Paige although Vince now has 2 bets in hand.

29aug13 old leader back

7 winners today one of them 10-11 for Martin Long sufficient to return him to the top of the pile, but the best of the day honour fell to Paul Creed 7-1 to half is negative balance, Michael Brook brought up a nice double with a 9-2 winner to move onto the leader board in 10th.  Other winners were Steve Tyson 13-8, Roger Dore 100-30, Kevin Wood & Jed Parramore both 2-1.

In the plate Martin Long's 5 points closed him up to the top two.  Craig Connelly sneaked onto the foot of the leader board on first place count back (well actually that happened yesterday but I missed it!)

Jon Curtis joined the dormy group today.

28aug13 new leader

Mark Nutting goes top by just 5p after sitting out and Martin Long missing.  The only real action on a day that saw just 2 winners from 32 bets the best of the day was Michael Brook at 4-1 with Jimmy McGarrity the other at 11-4

In the plate the top three all gained a single point

Jake Fifield went dormy today

WE ARE BACK

Let's go all set for tomorrow as we restart after the summer break

Friday 16 August 2013

Just noticed for today

You will have to be quick!

Newbury's listed race at 3.55 today somehow is showing Wind Fire at a shorter price that Lilbourne Lass that can't be right! Lil hasn't been out of the first 2 yet in 5 runs.  Where as Wind Fire's run after the good showing at Royal Ascot can only be described as disappointing.

Live prices on B365 now show them as 15-8JF but still value on Lil

Betless in Seattle

Just wanted to reassure you that the break was necessary - Sue and I dining at the top of the needle yesterday in the revolving restaurant

09aug13 tomorrow at Ascot

Speculative but if Incendo runs in the 3.15 at Ascot tomorrow (currently reserve) and the jockey riding seems competent then each way at a decent price might be worth a look at - not really shone this year but you never know!!

How are we all doing?

Anyone missing the comp already after just 2 days!

Just wanted to follow up on the Galway idea for a finish of one of the competitions - it's a 7 day meeting wow! Not sure I could cope with that, alcohol wise or cash!  But worth seeing like we did at Punchestown if we could get a 2-3 day bash.  Vince says there is a good air service to Galway as it is west coast we would need that.

Keep an eye out for the 2 y.o. Shifting Power, 2 from 2 now and it is hard to imagine in either run that he could have been any more impressive.

Sunday 4 August 2013

04aug13 break time

6 winners on the last day before the break - remember next bet is Tuesday 27th August everyone is on a standstill until then.  The winners today were mostly the usual suspects Vince Paige evens and 10 points to take over at the top for the break - 7 consecutive bets for him at Galway and four 10 point winners nice play.  Joint best of the day were Jimmy McGarrity & Terry Matthews with a 7-2 shot, Dave Kingsbury 5-2, Ian Carpenter 6-4 to just get him on the leader board, Steve Tyson 2-9 3rd winner in the last 4.

Update is sent out may post the odd racing observation but don't expect regular stuff until 27th

03aug13 very slow one today

Well in terms of winners with just 3 Justin Sercombe & Vince Paige joint best of the day with the same 7-2 10 point winner, lifting Justin to 4th in the main comp and Vince to 2nd in the plate, other winner was 3-1 for Terry Matthews that moved him into 7th.

Saturday 3 August 2013

02aug13 Two to go before break

Just Saturday & Sunday left before the mid comp break

7 winners today and only Dave Kingsbury managed to make a move on the leader board rising 2 places after a 5-6 winner others who had the same winner were Ian Carpenter & Kevin Wood.  A very unusual price, which I have to say I have never seen before, for Craig Connelly 40-85 that's his 11th winner form his last 15 bets great stuff.  Best of the day honours went to Mark Sharman 5-1 with Steve Tyson recording a 4-1 winner and Rod Brown 3-1.

In the plate the top three all didn't trouble the scorer but Martin did sit out!

Thursday 1 August 2013

01aug13 Come on England

I thought we were supposed to have a great bowling attack they gave up!

Just 4 winners today the best of which was for Steve Tyson 5-1 with Justin Sercombe 11-10, Craig Connelly 11-10 & Kevin Wood 5-6.

In the plate Martin Long's turn to miss today allowing Justin Sercombe to reclaim top spot

Wayne Morton went dormy today
