21may22 FINAL DAY & RESULT

Two payers managed to grab a last day 33-1 super winner, Gary Pascoe (to get off the mark) and Mark Nutting to move from 19th to 2nd, only other winner was Pete Feeney 2-5.

So gratulations to a first time winner Tom Feeney who went clear and stayed there despite the pack picking every long shot in the book.  Honourable mentions to Mark of course for his last day heroics and  Ben Cheetham for his best result and unlucky not to pick up 2nd prize.

The next comp is the 50th ever so general feeling is we should hold that in the main jumps season which I think is probably what we will do.  Have a great summer everyone I'm off to get a new hip next week!

Some magic performances at HQ & Newbury today Baaeed in the Lockinge (Stuarts winning nap) and perhaps even more impressive for a first run was Mawj one for the note book.  5 winners in total and some nice prices Kevin Dighton 11-1 to move to the foot of the leader board and another new name on the leader board today was Chris Pascoe who nabbed a 17-2 winner. I moved 5th with a 9-1 winner and Darren Mills also 11-1 but that might be too little to late. Finally the leader Tom Feeney playing the right tactics with a 5-6 winner to moved slightly further away.

 One winner Kevin Wood 100-30 to move 8th and that was it!

12may22 SAME AGAIN

Just 3 winners again 2-5 for Vince to effectively wrap up the plate, Terry Matthews 11-1 and Dave Klein 8-1 and that's it

 Bad day for the team just 3 winners from 48 bets that included 17 naps in the big 22 runner handicap at York and the best we did was 4th!  Today's winners were Stuart Bentham 4-7, Paul Stobbart 7-2, & Sonya Paige best of the day 15-2.

 Nearly finished todays results so assuming Gary Dighton's horse doesn't win at over 25-1 which would affect the table then we have 4 winners today.  Another decent winner for Kevin Dighton 12-1 which moved him up 17 places in the table, Helen Fahey up to 14th with an even money winner, Ben Cheetham began the chase down of the leader, Tom Feeney, successfully with a 11-4 winner & Tommy Smith got off the mark with the best of the day (so far!) at 16-1.

Only one story in town the Feeney brothers both pick the same 20-1 winner Tom goes clear and could quite possibly have secured the £1,000 first prize and a new name on the cup and Pete goes 3rd.  Andy Warmington 100-30 moved closer in 5th and the only other scorer was Gary Dighton 11-2.

Can't keep a good man down Tom Feeney brings up a treble with a 100-30 winner to go top again, not sure we have had so many changes of the lead ever before!  Four other winners and they were: Stuart Bentham 11-8 to close up on Vince a little in the plate and to re-appear at the foot of the main leader board,  Dave Klein 7-4,  Jimmy McGarrity best of the day 8-1 to move into the top half & finally Mark Quinn 100-30 as well.

Jason McConkey 8-1 and the lead same winner for Tom McGarrity so he goes 10th, Kevin Wood 15-8 to maintain a strong 5th place and tom Feeney made sure Jason didn't get it all his own wat with a 13-8 winner to keep gap small.
