31DEC17 Going out with a whimper!

Happy New Year everybody and let's hope 2018 is a touch more rewarding than 2017 which in my case is a pretty low bar!

Just 5 winners today Pete long missed going top by 10p with his 9-10 winner, Annette Berg is just a few pence away from even after a nice romantic 6-1 winner that was also best of the day!  Spenser picked up a 5-1 winner Justin Sercombe 4-5 and finally Gary Wheeler 100-30 to nudge up a spot on the leaderboard. 

Been raining loads here today for those going to Cheltenham tomorrow and it still is so soft going specialists a must.

30DEC17 good form continues

Well in particular for the best of the day 14-1 winner for Andy Grinter, others were Gary Dighton & Roger Dore both 7-4 that brings up 4 wins from the last 5 for Gary.  Helen Fahey 11-4, Kevin Roberts 11-8, Mark Lowry 6-5, & finally Steve Carter pops in a nice 13-2 winner to take back over at the top and having had 8 more bets that Pete that looks like a bigger lead than just £1.00

29DEC17 some more good ones

Principally Mark Nutting 14-1 and Gary Dighton 12-1 that brought them both back onto the leaderboard.  Five others and they were evens for Pete Long & Vince Paige, Chris Martin & Darren Mills both 13-2 and finally Steve Taylor bringing up a rare double! with a 7-1 winner.

28DEC17 Nice winners

Joint best of the day at 16-1 for Steve Carter to go back to 2nd spot and Tom Feeney to zoom up from 17th to 4th.  Three others Steve Taylor 5-1, Annette Berg 9-2, & 4-6 for Tom McGarrity who' selection Apples Jade just got back up to beat mine that I have been waiting to run - unlucky me!

27DEC17 Post Xmas Blues

A definite case here again only another 4 winners Vince Paige 6-4 and 10 points and he is now away in the distance in the plate.  Helen Fahey 7-2, Jason McConky 7-4 and the luckiest ever best of the day for Michael Brook with Whiskey Sour lobbing along one fence out in 4th when Mengli Khan runs out and the leading pair who are clear both fall at the last, handing him the race - ah well that lifts Michael to 4th overall and well in the mix.

Boxing Day - very quiet on a great days racing

Well, hope you all had a good time etc. etc.

Just 4 winners today from over 40 bets Mighty Bite for Gary Dighton & Jason McConkey, Mark Lowry brought up his 20th winner out of 40 bets with a 5-4 shot,  and best of the day was Thommy Smith with a 7-1 winner to bring him close to even overall.

22DEC17 All getting excited!

7 winners today, Tom McGarrity brought up a treble with a 6-4 winner Paul Berg 7-4, Jason McConkey evens, Helen Fahey 13-8, Darren Mills 3-1 to nudge up a place to 4th and the final two were Chris Martin 2-1, & best of the day for Carl Dean at a very nice 12-1.

20DEC17 ordinary fare

8 winners 3 picked a nice 5-1 winner they were Tom McGarrity, Ray Harper (who got off the mark) & Matt Weekes, Paul Stobbart 9-4, Kevin Roberts made it onto the leaderboard with the best of the day 7-1, Jimmy McGarrity 7-2, Ian Carpenter 5-4 to make it 10 from the past 13 bets and finally Gary Pascoe who has woken up and popped in a second winner in 4 day at 11-4.

19DEC17 Back to reality

5 winners Annette Berg 5-1 & Paul Berg 15-2, Nobby Camunzuli 6-4, Dan Mason off the mark yesterday brought up a double with the best of the day 11-1 today and finally Roger Dore 15-8. 

18DEC17 What a day

15 winners and some great ones.  Let's get the 1-10 guys out of the way first that's me, Vince, Justin, Ian, & Stuart.  Pete Long the leader scored again using the tried and tested method with a 7-4 winner.  Joint best of the day went to Stuart McLeod & Spenser Mills both on the same 16-1 winner.  Dan Mason 8-1, Darren Mills 5-2, Gary Wheeler 15-2 to move into the cash.  The final 4 were Mark Lowry 9-2, Mark Nutting & Tom McGarrity both 8-11 & Matt Weekes 14-1 to move just off the leaderboard in 17th.

Just 5 winners today best of the day by a mile was Tom Feeney 12-1 to move onto the leaderboard, me and Darren Mills both 100-30 Stuart Bentham 8-11 & Ian Carpenter 6-4 to shuffle up a place or two.

For those on the WhatsApp group, we all have the story of the Pete Long 9-1 winner (Gary Pascoe as well picked it) and the scientific methodology employed by Pete he is top so can't argue with that!  Busy day 50 bets but just 5 winners those two and Justin Sercombe 4-6, Jimmy McGarrity 7-2 and Mark Lowry 3-1.

10 winners starting with Vince, Stuart & Justin back playing all on the same horse that won at 1-4!  Ian Carpenter kept up with his own short priced winner at 11-10 and another short one was Robert Logan 4-9.  so now on to the nice winners, Pete Long & Gary Wheeler 13-2 to take Pete to 2nd and bring Gary back onto the leaderboard, Mark Sharman nudged up the list a bit with his 11-10 winner and Jason McConkey 10-11 & finally best of the day for Tommy Smith at 7-1.

Warsaw Poland! and equally surprising was the plane got diverted from Luton to Liverpool on the way back hence no Sunday update either!

Anyway, pretty quiet across all 3 days with only 3 winners on each, Saturday: Jo Hutson the leader 4-1, Nobby Camunzuli 11-4, Paul Berg 8-1, - Sunday: Brian Hammon 3-1, Tom McGarrity 4-6, Vince Paige 6-4, -  Monday: Brian Hammon (again) 11-2, Mark Sharman evens, Tom McGarrity 4-6 (again again).

Topped by Pete Long 25-1 with Darren Mills making the leaderboard in fine style with his 16-1 winner this evening.  The other 9! were Brian Hammon & Jimmy McGarrity both 5-2, Joanne Hutson our leader stretching away with a 9-4 shot, Lee Constable 11-4, Michael Brook 4-1, Mark Lowry 7-4, and finally Mark Sharman, Tom McGarrity & Natasha Tizzano all 6-5.

Gary Wheeler 14-1 to move him back onto the leaderboard but the main headline is previous Champ Andy Stevens 28-1 to zoom up to 4th and well in the mix at the top.  Only 5 others Ben Cheetham 5-6, Justin Sercombe 10-11, Ian Carpenter 4-11, Mark Lowry 9-4, & Lee Constable 9-2.

Generally a good day for the comp with 10 winners most of them quite nice prices.  Joint best of the day at 10-1 were Dave Brammer to go +£3.35 in 18th and Darren Mills to make a rare appearance on the leaderboard in 14th.  Others were me & Tom McGarrity both evens, Ian Carpenter & Kevin Roberts both 7-2, Mark Nutting 9-4,  Mark Sharman a nice 8-1 winner to go 6th, Mark Lowry 100-30, that's 5 from the last 8 for Mark with the 3 misses all 2nd - good form & finally Nobby Camunzuli 100-30 as well.

Just 6 winners today 2 of them the plate boys Vince & Justin 8-13 and 10 points.  The other didn't really affect the very top of the leaderboard and were joint best of the day at 8-1 for Michel Brook to go 7th, & Mark Sharman to go 12th, leaving Matt Weekes 6-1 and Stuart Bentham as the other two.
