Jake Fifield wins with an impressive £53.41 total the 5th highest winning total since 2011. Richard Pascoe £450 & Mark Lowry £300, Jim Doe 4th on debut and £150
Congratulations to Jake - Vince will sort cash later
We have all of the following 3 on So Chic, Jason Stevens, Mark Lowry, Mark Nutting, & Tom McGarrity (-26.71) on Estamaid
No runners after that
5-1 and now 7th which knocks Dave Brammer to the bubble and Tommy Smith from £100 to £50
100-30 enough for 6th and £100 with plenty still to come Paul Berg falls out of the cash
Top 4 (cash places) in the plate now confirmed just left to see if Ian or Steve can steal £50 from Vince on the last day!
Top 20 in the main comp shown to give you some idea of what's need to cash everyone else in in Hail Mary territory!
Gary Cawsey wins the most last places booby prize but that might be a few quid of interest earned
Today saw just 3 winners Adrian Hunt 11-4 to go into 10th not needing much to cash Jim Doe 5-2 just consolidating in 4th, just needs a 33-1 shot to win it & finally Nigel Chubb 11-4.
I will be monitoring the racing from Windsor online and giving a race by race update on the blog probably from immediately after the 6.45 - last selection is the 8.45 at Windsor no 9pm at Wolves!
Excel will follow shortly
Shelly Wood 1-2 & Tommy Smith 8-1 were the only other winners after the earlier excitement
Interim update as there a a loads of late selections and I'm out tonight, Richard Pascoe bangs in a super 33-1 winner to go within a couple of £'s of the leader but classy Jake responds with his own 15-2 winner to keep the gap at +£10
More to come later/in the morning
Me & Ian Carpenter both 13-8, Jake Fifield a very important 9-2 which unless there is a mega winner could be enough, finally Mark Lowry just held on with a 2-1 winner in 2nd
Fittingly Robert Logan 6-5 on an appalling day's racing after the spectacular fare all week
A couple of giants Paul Berg 25-1 to zoom up to 8th and in the cash, and just beating him 28-1 for Mark Nutting but as that was only his 2nd winner he still is only 20th. Leader & 2nd both had the same 6-4 winner and Jim doe improved into 3rd with his timely 9-2 winner, that leaves Shelly wood at 4-1
That's my report from yesterday at Royal Ascot and devoid of any winners :-(
Just 2 winners for us they were Ben Cheetham 13-8 & our leader Jake with a nice 7-1 winner that ends a 12 runner losing sequence and could wrap it up. But no changes in order on either top 10.
Just two winning horses 3-1 & 10 points for Steve Taylor, Robert Logan & Ben Cheetham, 8-13 and 5 points for me & Ian Carpenter
Correction Tom McGarrity 85-40 as well
Going tomorrow so expect a double update Saturday - sorry
Robert Logan 9-4 and 10 points to tie up the plate with loads of days to go must be the earliest ever. So does he aim for 266 to get into the top 10 or become the first player in modern times to win both? Either way a stunning performance trounced the field. Three other winners today Jim Doe 9-2, Tom McGarrity 7-1, & John Caley 11-1 to go to -£5.50 so in the mix.
Six winners between us they were Pat Quinn evens, Dave Brammer 7-4, Jim Doe & Helen Fahey both 7-2 Mark Lowry 4-1 to go 2nd and the big winner of the day John Caley 20-1 but still only in 21st place at -£14.50 but another one of those and in the cash.
In the last place wooden spoon Mark Sharman & Tom Feeney both on 7 but the runaway 'leader' and I suspect uncatchable is Gary Cawsey on 12 last place selections one more than his number of winners.
I'm staying right next to Sheffield U's ground, 3 winners Jimmy McGarrity 9-4, Nigel Chubb 3-1 & Pat Quinn 5-2 - that's all
Dave Klein 22-1 but not enough to get him to the leader board, Gary Pascoe 9-4, Dave Brammer 18-5 and that was it
Seven winners 3 of them the same winner for me, Steve Taylor & Ian Carpenter at 4-5, Jim Doe & Richard Pascoe 4-1, Spenser Mills 7-2 to go 3rd
Dave Brammer consolidated in 4th with a 4-1 winner Jim Doe 9-2 to go positive and make the leader board Nigel Chubb 7-2 were all we could manage!
Nine winners today leader pops in a 2-1 winner to ram it home! Dave Brammer 12-1 back onto the leader board in 4th, George Casserly 6-5, Ian Carpenter 8-15, Jimmy McGarrity and Spenser Mills both 5-1, Pete Long 85-40, Paul Berg 2-1 & finally Tom Ellison 9-2.
Steady progress from Jake Fifield with a 5-2 winner, plate hots up as 3 players all of the, now top 3, score with a 10 point 4-7 winner. Gary Dighton 7-1 Harry Warmington 5-4, Jason Stevens 6-1, Pat Quinn 5-6 and Nigel Chubb 11-2 were the other 5 winners.
