Vince Paige also got off the mark with a 5-1 winner to make the foot of the leader board for the first time this comp. Carl Dean, Colin Warmington & Pat Quinn Snr all got off the mark on the same 7-4 winner, Dave Kingsbury 2-1 and Rod Brown 9-4 were the final 2.
